The Analysis Of Evolution Of Spatial Pattern Of China's Floating Population And Its Influencing Factors

Since China's reform and opening-up,along with the rapid development of China's social economy,the advancement of urbanization and the reform of household registration system,the floating population size is increasing.However,the existing research on the spatial pattern of floating population is more from a macro perspectives,the study from the perspective of microscopic scale is so scarce.Based on the county-level data of China's 2000 and 2010 population census,this paper uses GIS spatial statistical analysis and spatial econometric model,to analyze the evolution characteristics and influencing factors of the spatial distribution pattern of the floating population in China.The aims of the study are deepening the cognition about the spatial law and constraint mechanism of the floating population and proving references for government management and regional development.The study found that:(1)The floating population spatial distribution pattern has strong stability,the period from 2000 to 2010,the proportion of floating population in East,central,West,northeast of the 4 regions remain stable,the eastern region is the main destinations of floating population,the cities in Beijing-Tianj in-Hebei Region,Yangtze River Delta Region and Pearl River Delta Region are the main gathering area of the inter-province floating population,the intra-province floating population is scattered in the provincial capital cities,and the distribution center of gravity has a tendency to move towards the northwest.(2)The spatial distribution of floating population in China has spatial correlation,and it has obvious characteristics of spatial agglomeration.As time goes on,the spatial agglomeration degree and spatial correlation of floating population tend to be enhanced.The distribution of floating population in the southeast coastal areas tended to geographically united as a whole,while the capital cities of the central and western regions have also absorbed a large number of floating population,and the trend of floating population agglomeration is gradually emerging.(3)The development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and Yangtze River Delta Region Promotes the movement of the floating population center of gravity to the Northeast.During this period,the type of floating population agglomeration type has also changed,from the single core of Pearl River Delta into Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta the multi core model.(4)The wage level and the regional employment ability are the main factors affecting the floating population.Industrial structure,investment in fixed assets,public service is also important "pull" to attract the inflow of floating population,the social and economic factors have different influences on the size of floating population in different regions.
