Research On Eye Movement Characteristic Of Handball Goalkeeper In Defending 7 Meter-throw

By studying the differences between expert handball players and novice handball players in their characteristics of eye movement of seven-meter throw,the object of study includes fourteen players.They are eight handball players(four males and four females)who come from Beijing Liberat ion Army(PLA),two players from national women's youth team,and four National Handball Team(Men)player(a goalkeeper from Jiangsu Team,a goal keeper from Shanghai Team and two goalkeepers from Beijing Team).The situation of testis using block seven-meter throw in the field,and equipments are including Germany SMI portable eye tracker in order to record the eye movement characteristics of players,Begaze 3.7 for editing original database,and applying SPSS20.0 and Microsoft Excel to analyze the result.Meanwhile,using Quintie to record every movement of each goalkeeper,which combining both eye movement and reaction database.The study greatly improve the authenticity of field experiments and the validity of ecolog y.The study use "Expert vs Novice " mode,and every goalkeeper stop twe lve seven-meter throw and records,comparison and analysis their eye move ment and reaction.Combination of both existing research results and myst udy of eye movement and behavior,as following conclusions:Conclusion A: Expert team and novice team has great differences in success rate and also in judgment accuracy.In the result of those tests,the success rate depends on long-term training and competition.With rich experiences,expert players have higher success rate than novice players.Conclusion B: in study of expert team and novice teams' concentration of time on different parts of body,experts pay less attention on body and the other arm than novice team,while they put more focus on players' head than novices'.Conclusion: Expert and novice's action in Gaze Replay is significant differences on the picture,experts' sight trajectory is simple,the fixation point mainly concentrated in the head and the ball.Novice fixation point trajectory is relatively complex,because their fixation point scattered into head,ball,trunk and right shoulder.Expert and novice's fixation points in shoot are significantly different.Experts is focus on player's head in every stage of holding ball process,only in the shooting phase,their fixation point is the ball.And novice in holding process is focus on player's body,in second step and third step they focus on player's unused arm,during shooting process the fixation point is player's shooting arm.
