Study On Social Work Intervention Of Urban Life Adaptation Among The Elderly Relocated

With the acceleration of urbanization in China,there are many young people working in cities and towns.Such a flow has created a wave.Along with these young people,there are also their parents,that is,the elderly relocated.In quantity,the number of elderly people is large,According to data from the sixth national census,compared with that from ten years ago,China's current floating population increased significantly,and the number is 260 million.In the past ten years,it has increased by over 80%.On average,one out of every six people is a floating population.In the same period,the proportion of the elderly population in China was 13.26%.The reason why the elderly relocated leave their hometown and follow their children to go to town is mainly that they can reunite with their children or to help their children taking care of the young.The elderly relocated achieve their desire to reunite with their children by entering city.However,most of the elderly are accustomed to rural life,so there will be many problems of life adaptation when they enter the city,such as unsuited living habits,narrow interpersonal relationship.It is worthwhile to pay attention and think how to promote the adjustment to the elderly relocated and make them adapt to life at the place of immigration smoothly.This paper targets at “a study based on the social work intervention to the urban life adaptation of the elderly relocated” to help the elderly relocated adapt to urban life better from the perspective of social work.The paper is based on a investigation of a community in Shenzhen,trying to collect data to establish the facts on the basis of the literature research method,structured interviews.At first,to read comprehensive research results of other scholars and to understand the life adaptation of the elderly relocated,then design survey interview outline on the interpersonal elderly relocated,trial make payment on research subject,collect data and then analyze the data,with more detailed perspectives to know about the elderly relocated on the city life adaptation problems.The intervention process lists group activities to reflect the social work to help the elderly relocated better for city life adaptation.Finally,from a professional perspective of social work,assist the elderly relocated from adjusting good mental state,support adjustment behavior reconstruct social support network..The study found that social work in promoting the life adjustment of elderly relocated has certain effect,by the beginning of the event,to a certain extent,promoted the expand interpersonal circle of the elderly relocated,improve interest to community activities and more psychological adaptation in city.
