Children education has always been the focus of our society,so how to do well in children education has been the common concern for schools,parents and society.The period of the Republic of China has cultivated many famous people who affected Chinese society profoundly.So what' s the uniqueness of children education in this period and how did it influence people' s growth?Maybe we can find answers from relevant autobiography and memoirs.Scanning these memoirs we could find that the memory for children education in this period was mainly concentrated in old-style private school,school education,family education and after-school activities which could describe children' s education vividly so as to provide references for current children education.The paper could be divided into six parts.The first part is to mainly introduce topic-choosing reasons and meaning,research status and author,s introspection,research methods and concept definition.The second part is to exhibit traditional old-style private school education from three aspects:its regulation and management,teaching activities and the relationship between teacher and students.The third part is to investigate the evolution from old-style private school to modern-style schools;to show teachers' noble character from their education background and sentiment;to analyze middle and primary schools in the Republic of China era from several aspects,such as freedom,inclusive,personality,talent,creativity and practice,etc.The fourth part is to explore the effect of family structure on children's character formation so as to discuss the influence of family culture and members on children growth.The fifth part is to reveal the impact of colorful activities on children' s curiosity,interest,knowledge and creativity cultivation from four fields which are reading,listening,loving and playing.The sixth part is to summarize the experience of children education in the Republic of China era.In my opinion,traditional old-style private schools and modern-style schools played a complementary role for each other.Individuals,family and schools have become each back-ups.Reading,listening and playing are the key to make a success,while children education in the Republic of China era also had several problems,such as severe physical punishment and imbalance education resources.
