Second language writing is a major difficulty in learning and teaching,and it is also a hot topic in the field of second language acquisition.In recent years,with the deepening of the reform of English teaching in middle schools,writing teaching has received increasing attention nowadays.However,English learning is a difficult problem for most junior high school students due to the existence of mother tongue transfer.Junior English learning is a critical period for junior high school students to lay a good foundation for learning English.English writing can intuitively reflect the problems that junior high school English students have in the process of English language learning due to the impact of their mother tongue transfer.Therefore,helping junior high school students to reduce impacts of mother tongue in English writing,reducing negative transfer,and promoting positive transfer is one of the most important topics in the current field of English teaching.The study explores the impact of mother tongue transfer on junior high school students' English writing under rigorous experimental design and accurate data analysis.Based on the mother tongue transfer theory,comparative analysis theory,interlanguage theory,and error analysis theory,the paper uses test methods,corpus analysis,and questionnaire surveys to study and study results prove that junior high school students are indeed affected by the transfer of their native language in English writing and its influence is great.Negative transfer include Chinglish expressions,word spellings,and verb collocations that have caused errors due to the negative transfer of mother tongue.This study was conducted in the nine grades of the junior middle school schools of 59 th Middle School of Hefei,Shangpai Middle School of Feixi County and 46 th Middle School of Hefei.Then,the paper choose ordinary classes and experimental classes of the three schools respectively and randomly select six classes to ensure the scientific and credible research.The paper is divided into six chapters.Among them,the first chapter introduces the research purpose,background and significance.In the second chapter,the author reviews the previous literature and focuses on the theory of mother tongue transfer,the study of mother tongue transfer in English writing and its related theories.On this basis,the third chapter describes the design of the study in detail,namely,research objectives,research problems,research objects,research methods,research tools,research procedures,data collection and processing,survey results and data statistics.On the basis of the survey results and data statistics in Chapter 3,the fourth chapter conducts an in-depth analysis,including the analysis of errors in the sample.After the analysis of macro data and the analysis of samples,the fifth chapter summarizes the impacts of the transfer of mother tongue on junior high school students' English writing,and gives corresponding analysis on the problems that arise.The results show that verbs have a greater impact on junior high school students' English writing,which mainly reflected in the distortion of verbs under different tenses,and the misuse of predicate verbs.The author gives corresponding suggestions based on the research results.The paper has a certain practical value for the application of native language transfer in junior high school students' English writing.
