| Since the successful opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games,the Party Central Committee has put forward the strategic goal of advancing China into a sports power.It has put forward new requirements for the further development of China's sports industry,and has also pointed out the direction for sports development.In 2013,General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized in many meetings: "Sports carry the dream of national prosperity and national rejuvenation,sports are strong at the national level,and national sports are at the height of sports.We must put the development of sports work on an important agenda and plan carefully." Grasping the implementation will continue to create a new situation for the development of China's sports undertakings and accelerate the pace of building a strong sports nation." In the process of advancing to sports power,the importance of competitive sports is self-evident.With the continuous development of modern science and technology,the gap in the level of training has gradually narrowed,and scientific selection of materials has become the key to strengthening the building of competitive sports.However,the search of the literature found that since 2000,there has been relatively little research on the selection of reserve talents for competitive sports.It is difficult to find out the current research status of athlete selection in China.Under the background of advancing the sports power,how does the selection of competitive sports talents in China actually proceed? In particular,how is the material selection work in the grassroots sports schools in economically backward areas? Where are the differences in the selection of materials from economically developed regions? It is necessary to sort out and study these issues in order to further understand the status quo of the selection of competitive talents for sports in China and lay a solid foundation for building a strong sports nation.In this paper,a comprehensive survey and analysis of the selection of competitive sports reserve talents in eight grass-roots sports schools in Gansu Province were conducted using literature data,questionnaire surveys,expert interviews,fieldwork,and mathematical statistics,and they were selected with the Yantai Sports School in Shandong Province.A comparative analysis of the work found that the selection of competitive sports talents in the primary sports schools inGansu Province has the following important issues: 1.The shortage of reserve talents in the grassroots sports schools in Gansu Province,the employment rate is low,recruitment is difficult,and the quality of students is poor.2.The leaders of primary school sports schools in Gansu Province attach less importance to the scientific selection of materials,and coaches have a certain degree of difference in their understanding of materials selection,which leads to a low degree of scientific selection of coaches.3,Gansu Province grassroots sports school material selection indicators use rate is low,no professional selection organization,material testing equipment is not complete,no professional test personnel.4.The selection of coaches for grassroots sports schools in Gansu Province is mainly based on their own experience and supplemented by tests.If problems are encountered in selection,they are resolved through exchanges with the coaches of their own sports school,and there is less cooperation with research institutes.5.Gansu provincial grass-roots schools have less funds for the selection of reserve talents,and they have only a single source of funding to carry out large-scale material selection and purchase of advanced material selection and testing equipment.The following suggestions are made in response to the above questions: 1.In the context of sports powers,the author suggests that the grassroots sports schools in Gansu Province should take the road of “bidirectional training” and expand the channels of student sources.2.Renew the concept of leadership management in grassroots sports schools,and re-understand the importance of materials selection in terms of material selection,training,and management.At the same time,leaders of grass-roots sports schools should also increase the number of coaches to implement academic education and job training,and jointly build elite talents for sports power.3.Under the background of building a strong sports country,Gansu Province grassroots sports schools should reorganize professional selection organizations.Their staff consists mainly of coaches and scientific researchers.They are mainly responsible for the selection and testing of talents for grassroots sports schools and are equipped with corresponding The selection of test equipment,changing the concept of experience selection.4.Strengthen the selection of grassroots sports schools and the cooperation of scientific research institutes,advance the science of material selection,selecttalents,and increase the finished product rate.5.The grassroots sports schools in Gansu Province should take the road of marketization,change the mode of management,increase funding,and expand funding channels. |
