Organotin(IV) complexes have been attracting more and more attention on account of their amazing structures and excellent functions. Since 1980 s, in particular, because of their admirable bioactivities, organotin(IV) complexes were studied in pharmaceutical,medicinal and biological chemistry. Considering the hydrazone Schiff base ligands and multi pyridine carboxylic acid Schiff base ligands owned certain antibacterial antitumor biological activity and flexible coordination mode, the ligands of aromatic hydrazone were design derived from aromatic hydrazine and substituted salicylaldehyde in this paper.Meanwhile, the multi-pyridine carboxylic acid ligand was design derived from o-phenanthroline. The novel organotin(IV) complexes design derived from synthesized ligands and the salt of organotin was characterized via EA, NMR, FT-IR, and X-ray single crystal diffraction. The reaction between the new synthesized complexes and the CT-DNA/BSA and the in vitro cytotoxic activities and ROS in the cell of the analyzed organotin(IV)complexes were investigated. The following exhibition is our main work:1. Four hydrazone ligands and one multi pyridine carboxylic acid ligand, including2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde salicyloylhydrazone, 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde 4-pyridine hydrazone, 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde salicyloylhydrazone,2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde 4- pyridine hydrazone and4-(cyclopenta[2,1-b;3,4-b']dipyridin-5-ylidene-hydrazonomethyl)-benzoic acid, was to be synthesized. The two of all was characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction.2. The organotin(IV) complexes derived from 2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde salicyloylhydrazone have been synthesized, obtaining five single-crystal structure of organotin(IV) complexes. The mononuclear and dipolymer are the main form for these organotin(IV) complexes.3. The organotin(IV) complexes derived from 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde 4- pyridine hydrazone and 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde salicyloylhydrazone have been synthesized,obtaining three single-crystal structure of organotin(IV) complexes. The results of analysis revealed that trinuclear structure, centrosymmetry and six coordinated with the distortedoctahedral geometry are the main characteristics of these complexes.4. The organotin(IV) complexes derived from 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde 4-pyridine hydrazone have been synthesized, obtaining two single-crystal structure of organotin(IV) complexes, being similar to the organotin(IV) complexes derived from2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde salicyloylhydrazone in the aspect of structure characteristics.5. The organotin(IV) complexes derived from4-(cyclopenta[2,1-b;3,4-b']dipyridin-5-ylidene-hydrazonomethyl)-benzoic acid have been synthesized, obtaining one single-crystal structure of organotin(IV) complex and one magnesium(II) complex, accidentally. Tetranuclear structure, centrosymmetry and six coordinated with the distorted octahedral geometry are the main characteristics of the organotin(IV) complex. All the non-hydrogen atoms in the same plane, basically.6. Studies on propertyThe in vitro cytotoxic activities of the titled organotin(IV) compounds were determined using MTT assay. The ROS induced activities of partial complexes were also investigated. The interactions of organotin(IV) between compounds and DNA/BSA have been sudied by UV spectra, fluorescent spectra and circular dichroism spectrum. The results indicated that all organotin(IV) complexes displayed potent efficiency in inhibiting tumor cells, better interaction with DNA/BSA and complexes interacted with the BSA in a static quenching mechanism.
