PurposeThe aim of this study was a retrospective analysis of the aging of the distal radius fractures (AO type:type B) the conservative treatment and surgical treatment of clinical curative effect of observation, and analyses the curative effect of two groups of patients, points out that the two methods of treatment for treating such this type of fracture the advantages and disadvantages of both.Methods(1)Case collection:the study of all the data are in April 2013 to January 2015, chengdu university of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated hospital of chengdu and the first cases of orthopaedic hospital information, a total of 60 cases with complete information collection.(2)Group:Collection of 30 patients for conservative treatment namely gimmick reset patients with small splints external fixation, the rest of the 30 patients for surgery or surgery patients with open reduction and internal fixation with locking plate group, all patients were corresponding functional exercise, evaluation of patients with postoperative 1 week,2 weeks,6 weeks,3 months and one year after fracture treatment curative effect.(3)Observation indexes:Compare two groups of patients in postoperative fracture healing time, two groups of patients in 2 weeks,6 weeks after surgery and the postoperative imaging index of the year and comparison, a year after the two groups of patients in the treatment of the comparison of respective Dienst wrist function evaluation and used in the two groups of patients in postoperative cost and accept the comparison of X-ray irradiation times.ResultS(1)Baseline comparison of two groups of patients:the two groups of patients with gender, age, weight, classification, and the dip Angle, when the injured foot Angle analysis of the results, not significant, comparable.(2)After treatment results of analysis; manual reduction of small splint external fixation group patients on fracture healing time patients with surgical treatment of healing time is shorter, and the statistical analysis of the two significant (P< 0.05).(3)Two groups of patients in imaging analysis, open reduction and plate screw fixation surgery group of patients the imaging index a gimmick reset small splint external fixation group patients can obtain better benefits (P< 0.05).(4)In a year in the two groups after treatment in patients with Dienst wrist function score, two groups of wrist function score in patients with no statistical significance (P> 0.05).(5)After the two groups of patients with fracture, the cost of treatment and accept number of X-ray irradiation, manual reduction of small splint external fixation group patients spend less and has statistical significance (P< 0.05), and accept X line of two groups of patients, it had no statistically significant difference (P> 0.05).ConclusionManual reduction of small splint external fixation and open reduction and internal fixation operation for senile fracture of the distal radius, particularly for AO type elderly patients with type B, as these two kinds of treatment methods for such this type of fracture is a kind of better treatment method, clinically can get very good effect. But two treatment methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. In a nutshell:conservative treatment can be obtained by smaller medical costs more early fracture healing, but in the aspect of quality index and early functional imaging score can obtain more benefits to patients, two methods of treatment of complications and no obvious difference was found between the long-term functional recovery.
