Objective:By investigating the clinical nurses of medical organizations at various levels in Hunan province, the status of rights And interests are understood deeply andthe factors of preventing the rights of clinical nurses from being realized are analyzed.This paper aims at arousing the staffs’ own consciousness of safeguarding their rights and the social’s respects for professional nurses, submittingsuggestions to the health administrative departments, so that it can provide some objective and credible datas to the administration to develop and improve the nurses’ law.Methods:A self-made questionnaire was formed by reading literature and consulting experts.Considering the imbalance of social and economic development, a stratified sampling method was taken by the governments of Hunan province to make a survey of 6049 nurses of 103 level 3and secondary hospitals in changsha, zhuzhou, xiangtan, hengyang, yueyang, shaoyang, yongzhou, and its subordinate areas, counties.Basic information, work intensity, salary, benefits, promote learning, occupational protection, the right of having a vacation, personal safety, dignity and knowledge in rights protection and the status of the nursing work satisfaction from several aspects such as contentwere covered in this research. EpiData software was used to input datas and SPSS18.0 statistical software was used to make statistical analysis. Statistical methods include descriptivestatistics, T-tests, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, rank and inspection, chi-square test and single factor analysis, etc.Results:1.Overtime, work overload is the norm in clinical nursing Among the 6049 nursing staffparticipating in the survey, Delay from work 3 or more times a week accounts for 43.5%; Self-evaluation of workload and work strength, think accounted for 66.2% of large or very large workload, think working strength accounted for 64.6% of large or very large2. Nurses’ Health custody needs to be improvedAbout the occupational protection, health care, 78.2% of participates contact with chemotherapy drugs, radioactive lines and poisonous and harmful substances such as dangerous goodsin the working process; 33.7% of nursing staff are not entitled to the legal rights of physical examination. 55.6% of nurses are not takingprotective measures.The higher level hospitals are, the more perfectthe relevant department director and the establishment are,attention degree is higher.3.Nurses pay is low, the income of primary nurses is the lowest More than half of the nursing staff’s salary is in 2000 ~ 4000 yuan;amongdifferent grade hospitals nursing,the differences of staff pay have statistical significance(p = 0.000), The incomes of nurses in towns and townshipsand thecommunity service center are the lowest,about 20% of the nurses’ wages are under 2000 yuan.4.Opportunities of learning outside the hospital are very few, the learning opportunities of nurse grassroots are significantly smaller than those of nurses working in large hospitals The participates ’ opportunities of learning outside the hospitals were on average less than once a year; in which the training times of nurses in township hospitals were the least,were about 7.08 ± 5.484 times a year on average, and almost all were hospital training.5.Many nurses occupancy the time of rest and vacation, a half of the nurses can not accept this Nearly 80% of the respondents participating in the training process often took up their rest time and vacation, only 1.2% of respondents attending professional learning and training, didn’t take up their rest time and vacation; national legal holidays safeguards of nurses in different levels of hospitals had statistical difference(p = 0.000), national legal holidays safeguards of downtown hospitals is the lowest, accounting for 53.2%.6.It is common that nurses suffer from violence and the attitudes of hospitals towards dealing with violence are passive. The incidence of suffering from hard violence(direct physical violence, physical assault) was 86.4%, soft violence was 93.1%; hospitals which value violence very seriously, and seriously account less than 30%, the survey, only 34.7% of nurses’ hospitals set up right-protection organizations.7.Nurses in different level of hospitals took different measures to protect their rightsNurses in secondary, tertiary hospitals and community health centers mainly chose talk to the media, nurses in a first-rate hospitals and township hospitals mainly chose to submit to humiliation.8.Analysis of Satisfaction of nurse’ in different backgroundsThe results indicated age,title, education, employment forms andlevels of hospital are factors of influencing the satisfaction of nurses’ interests,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The state of clinical nurses’ rights and interests maintenance is worrying in Hunan province; The clinical nurses had low evaluation on current nurse equity status, meanwhile had low cognition on the rights of nurses,but had a high degree of concern on nurses’ interests.To protect the rights and interests of nurses better,relevant measures should be taken on making nursing laws,social concerns,management of hospitals and nurses themselves.
