Investigation And Study On Fever Knowledge, Attitude, Behavior And Health Education Needs Of Parents Of Fever Infants In Weifang Area

Objective To evaluate the hospital infant parents knowledge attitude and practice with fever and the status of health education demand in Weifang area.Aware of this situation and the relationship between parental education and infant age.Methods A random sample of 1680 infants hospitalized fever parents issued a self-designed questionnaire, anonymous way to the scene to fill a questionnaire issued by the investigating officers on the spot and recovered.Results The parents of infants hospitalized for heat-related knowledge universal lack of knowledge, where lower rates of correct answers to the question:Family management of febrile seizures(20.8%),when the performance of fever(46.3%), the number of degrees fever need medication.(52.3%), proper cooling methods(58.2%).Parents have a fear of fever, that fever is a disease(80.6%), fever can cause brain damage(93.4%), fever can cause pneumonia(88.13%), and even 38.67% think that fever itself can lead to death;Meanwhile, the parents of infants hospitalized for health education have a higher demand, score the top three issues: dose antipyretic drugs(2.8±0.5), cautions antipyretic drug use and the Observation points of fever(2.2±0.9), physical cooling methods(2.1±0.6).Conclusion infant parents have misunderstanding on knowledge and management with fever,and have a fear of fever.There are different levels of demand for health education,children,The medical staff at the same time concerned about children with fever should be strengthened to popularize knowledge of missionary parents, so that they can use the scientific method of collaborative medical treatment, promote healing of children with the disease.
