Objective: The research was undertaken to reveal incidence regularity of cervical spondylosis tendon lesions and pain point and enrich overall understanding of treatment of cervical spondylosis with meridian sinew differentiation and cervical pain point diagnosis, thus to provide reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of cervical spondylosis, after observing and summarizing tendon lesions and pain point relationships of 80 cases (neck type and cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy patients with 40 cases respectively). Methods: 40 patients diagnosed as neck type cervical spondylosis were referred to groupA,and another 40 patients diagnosed as cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy were referred to group B, all in Traumatology, Acupuncture outpatient department of Sichuan Province Hospital from March 2014 to July 2015. Tender points which were score 4 or more of cervical spondylosis VAS were extracted. Tendons syndromes were concluded and summarized according to the distribution of these tender points. Distribution law of tender points and tendons syndrome finally were obtained through Statistical analysis with SPSS 17.0.Results:1.Located on the meridian sinews of Hand and Foot-TAI YANG, there were 101 tenderness points in group A and 69 in group B.On the meridian sinews of Hand-SHAO YANG, there were 87 tenderness points in group A and 92 in group B.On the meridian sinews of Foot-SHAO YANG, there were 34 tenderness points in group A and 19 in group B.On the meridian sinews of Hand and Foot-YANG MING, there were 65 tenderness points in group A and 24 in group B.2.Ratio of Neck tenderness point was statistically significant with 53.92% in group A, 36.59% in group B, (P< 0.01);Ratio of shoulder tenderness point was statistically significant with 62.02% in group A,43.14% in group B, (P=0.014<0.05).3.Group A occurrence regularity of meridian sinews was Hand and Foot-TAI YANG >Hand-SHAO YANG> Hand and Foot-YANG MING> Foot-SHAO YANG, Group B occurrence regularity of meridian sinews was Hand-SHAO YANG> Hand and Foot-TAI YANG> Hand and Foot-YANG MING>Foot-SHAO YANG. Comparisons between two group were statistically significant in tenderness point of hand Foot-TAI YANG meridian sinews with a result P=0.02< 0.05,Hand-SHAO YANG P< 0.01,Foot-SHAO YANG P=0.02< 0.05.The comparison between two group was NOT DIFFERENT in tenderness point of hand Foot-YANG MING meridian sinews,P=0.534>0.05.4.Arrangement of common pressure point in order according to the ratio from high to low:In group A the ratio of Hand and foot-YANG MING in group A was 10.80% of jianjingci,10.80% of quyuanci; That of Hand-SHAOYANG was 10.80% of tianliaoci,10.45% of tianzongci; The ratio of Hand and foot-TAI YANG meridian sinews was 4.18% of C5,3.83% of C6 on foot-SHAO YANG meridian sinews. In group B the ratio of hand-SHAO YANG meridian sinews was5.88% of C5,5.88% of C6,5.39% of tianliaoci,5.39%of tianzongci,4.90% of C4,5.39% of jianjingci on hand Foot-YANG MING,5.39% of quyuanci,4.90% of jiantongdianci and 4.9%of xiajiantongdianci on Hand and foot-TAI YANG.Conclusion:1.Neck type cervical spondylopathy frequently happened on the meridian sinews of Hand and Foot-TAI YANG,Hand-YANG MING,Foot-YANG MING and Hand-SHAO YANG.Cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy mainly happened on the meridian sinews of Hand-SHAO YANG.2.Situation may reflect the neck type of cervical spondylosis if there was apparent tenderness on point jianjinglci, quyuanci, tianliaoci. If there was apparent tenderness on C5 C6,it may reflect cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy.3.Focusing on the Hand and Foot-TAI YANG meridian sinew, especially on the related reinforced node of shoulder can be considered for treatment to neck type of cervical spondylosis.Focusing on the Hand- SHAO YANG meridian sinew, especially on the related reinforced node of neck can be considered for treatment to cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy.
