Clinical Observation Of TKA Combined With Zhuanggu Tablets In The Treatment Of Osteoporotic Knee Osteoarthritis

Purpose:To observe the effect of total knee arthroplasty(TKA)combined with Chinese traditional medicine Zhuanggu tablets in the treatment of osteoporotic patients with knee osteoarthritis.Material and method:40 cases of knee osteoarthritis patients with osteoporosis diagnosed by dual energy X-ray absorptiometryin in Department of Orthopedics Hospital of Shenyang from June 2015 to June 2016 are taken as examples.The patients were randomly divided into one treatment group with 20 patients and one control group with 20 patients,two groups were both treated with total knee arthroplasty surgery.Routine anti-inflammatory treatment,improvement of circulation and prevention of lower extremity venous thrombosis were performed after the operation.The stitches were removed 2 weeks after operation;The treatment group after 2 weeks of oral Caltrate D and traditional Chinese medicine Zhuanggu tablets,to 3 months after the operation;The control group underwent total knee arthroplasty after 2 weeks treated with Caltrate D at the same time oral Caltrate D treatment group.Using statistical analysis of preoperative and postoperative of 2 weeks on VAS score and HSS score,and comparing the curative effect of total knee arthroplasty;Analyzing statistically between the two groups of HSS knee score,bone mineral density and serum Ca content the third months and th e sixth months after operation andf before operation.To observe the clinical effect of Zhuanggu tablets in the treatment of osteoporosis and improve the knee joint HSS score,observing the clinicaleffects of total knee arthroplasty(TKA)with the traditional Chinese medicine Zhuanggu tablets in the treatment of osteoporosis with knee osteoarthritis.Results:The scores of HSS increase and the scores of VAS reduce obviously in the treatment group and the control group at 2 weeks after operation.It indicates that both of the groups have effects compared with before treatments,the difference has stat istically significant(P < 0.05).And there was no significant difference in HSS score between the two groups at 2 weeks after operation(p>0.05)and there was comparab ility between the two groups.The follow-up visits of third month and sixth month after the operation and before the operation shows that the knee HSS score,bone mineral density and serum Ca content in the two groups were higher than those before treat ment.Compared the knee joint HSS score,bone mineral density and serum Ca content in the two groups between the treatment group and the control group,the difference has statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the treatment group is better than the control group.Conclusion:1.Total knee arthroplasty is effective in the treatment of KOA;2.Total knee arthroplasty combined with traditional Chinese medicine Zhuanggu tablets can effectively improve the function of knee joint,enhanced bone mineral density,i mprove osteoporosis,The short-term curative effect is remarkable,but the long-term effect needs further study.
