Cormi Fructus is the dried and mature fruit of Cornus officinalis Sieb.,which is from Cornus,Cornaceae.It mainly distributes in Shaanxi,Shanxi,Henan,and other provinces.It is also called "yunrou",and its common name is "zaopi".It’s convergent tonic that has sour,astringent taste and lukewarm properties.So it has an effect of nourishing liver and kidney antiperspirant and is for the treatment of vertigo,tinnitus,soreness and weakness of waist and knees,spermatorrhea,enuresis,profuse sweating and so on.The mainly chemical constituents of Comi Fructus are iridoids,tannins,flavonoids,triterpenes and phenylpropanoids.Pharmacological studies indicate that Comi Fructus has good activities in the prevention and treatment of diabetes,anti-inflammatory,cardiovascular,cerebrovascular protection,and neuroprotection.It is worthy pointing out that the extracts of Comi Fructus have been found to have the inhibition of the a-glucosidase inhibitory activity in the previous study,and Corni Fructus is commonly used in the hypoglycemic prescription as a traditional Chinese medicine,so the study of its hypoglycemic material have a great significance.With the indicator of a-glucosidase inhibitory activity,various chromatographic techniques were used to separate the chemical constituents from the 55%parts of the macroporous resin of Cornus officinalis,27 compounds were identified by the modern spectroscopy technologies such as HR-ESI-MS,NMR,CD and ECD,including Iridoids Comuside R(1),Cornuside S(2),Cornuside T(3),Comuside U(4),3",5"-dehydroxyl-cornuside(5),Cornuside(6),2’-O-(p-coumaroyl)-kingiside(7*);5 cadinane sesquiterpenes named Comucadinoside A(8*).Cornucadinoside B(9),Cornucadinoside C(10),Cornucadinoside D(11);Cornucadinoside E(12*);6 of Lignans which are comusphenylpropanoid A(13*),5-methoxy-(+)-isolariciresinol(14),(+)-isolariciresinol(15),(7R,8S)-dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol 9-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(16),Glochidioboside(17),Pinoresinol-4-O-β-D-glucoside(18);3 of spiroalkaloids,namely Javaniside(19),7-epi-javaniside(20),Vincoside lactam(21);6 of phenolic acids including Dunnianosides D(22),Meliadanoside B(23),p-coumalic acid(24),Caffeic acid(25),Gallic acid(26),3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid(27)and 2 of flavonoids namely(2R)/(2S)-5,3’,5’-trihydroxy-flavanone-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(28a/28b)are seperated,too.Based on above research,1-13,26 and morroniside were screened for a-gucosidase and DPP-Ⅳenzyme inhibitory activities,the results showed that the inhibitory effect of 12,13 onα-gucosidase are stronger than the positive drug(Acarbose),1,5,6,8,9 also showed a stronger inhibitory effect to a-gucosidase,which are indicated that the Iridoids,cadinane diterpenoids and lignans are probably the ingredients of hypoglycemic in Cornus officinalis;In addition,1 have a moderate inhibitory to DPP-Ⅳ enzyme,too.The second part of this paper studied the chemical composition of Salvia miltiorrhiza.8 compounds were isolated from Salvia miltiorrhiza,including(±)-miltiorolide A(1*),Isosalviamines F(2*),Neo-tanshinlactone(3),Salyunnanin D(4),1-oxomiltirone(5),Danshenxinkun A(6),Salviolone(7)and Savialba acid(8)。Using the MTS method,the antitumor activities of 1 and 2 against human lung adenocarcinoma cell line BEL-7402,human pancreatic cancer cell line PANC-28 and human fibrosarcoma cell line HT-29 were examined.Studies have found that 1 and 2 have relatively antitumor activity.
