| Xiao Hong is a well-known female writer in modern school of Chinese literature, who was born in the collapse time of the feudal dynasty around the May Forth era,most time of her life she drifted from place to place,and finally died in the chaos caused by war in Hong Kong when she was just thirty-one years old, figuring out the luxuriant and pathetique movement with her short life.As time goes by, Xiao Hong has been dead for more than seventy years ever since, but her literature creations are still very popular with readers and reprinted constantly.Meanwhile,Xiao Hong's life experiences are also constantly written, especially in the new century,the publications of Xiao Hong's biographies have reached the culmination of history.So far,there have been over seventy kinds of Xiao Hong's biography published, however, compared with the publishing pomp,researches and criticisms about Xiao Hong's biography have lagged a lot.In contemporary China,biography literary criticism and research contain the following four aspects:studies on the basic theory of biography,the development history of biography,biographers and their works,foreign biography literary research and translation. In this article, I try to through interpreting biographies about Xiao Hong, analyzing their advantages and disadvantages in depicting Xiao Hong's image, discussing the method of biographical writing, and then exploring the creative direction of Xiao Hong's biography in the future.The first part of this paper clarifying the concepts of biography and biographical literature,reviewing the creation of Xiao Hong's biographies, analyzing the characteristics and causes of the publications of Xiao Hong's biographies in every period,at the same time,I also pointing out the effects of "Uderstand people and their times" on the study of Xiao Hong's biography.On the premise of clarifying the concept of biography, the second part of this article determine the scope of Xiao Hong's biographies from the perspective of biography form, according to the difference of the subject and content, dividing Xiao Hong's biographies into research biographies,historical biographies and literary biographies, then coupled with biography works' writing style, referencing the writing motivations of all kinds of Xiao Hong's biographies, carefully interpreting many types of Xiao Hong's biography,such as the general biography, memoir, critical biography, biographic paintings, biographic films and so on,selecting the typical case to analyze,discussing a few theoretical problems such as the historical information's selection and excavation,the reality and fiction of biography,and the methods of shaping Xiao Hong's image.On the basis of the type analysis and theory discussion, the third part of this paper puts forward some thoughts about Xiao Hong's biography.First of all, I point out the analysis that not objective and accurate enough about Xiao Hong's image in Xiao Hong's biography,and analyze the contradictions between generous and "preoccupied" that exists in her character hearty, and then on explain Xiao Hong "mother" role in deep. Secondly, questioned on the issue that defined Xiao Hong's literary activities as "left-wing" lies in majority of Xiao Hong's biographies,and answered the question above. Finally,on the basis of overview the creative of Xiao Hong's biography currently, including domestic and foreign outstanding biographies by contrast,pointing out the insufficient of meaning missing in most Xiao Hong's biographies, and then try to explore and discuss the creative direction that Xiao Hong's biography should have. |
