Autism is a mental development obstacles to social communication disorders,restrictive interest,repetitive behavior of the basic characteristics.Autistic children are generally seen as being existence social cognitive impairment.Past research using the eye movement measuring instrument to understand autism individual social cognitive impairment.Although behavior is the basis of the cognition,we don’t know exactly what the relationship between the two.This is one of problems our experiment to explore.Picture book is mainly children reading material,one of the main sources of social knowledge and experience.Therefore,in the second experiment we explore how the background which emerge of the picture book affect autism individuals reading and understanding?This study choose ASD children 7 ~ 12 years old,and match the intelligence of the normal children of 5 ~ 6 years old.Combine with eye tracking technology and the narrative.The results show:(1)Autistic children watch social information in the picture book is different from ordinary children,so as understand picture story.(2)The factors of influencing autistic children understand picture story: Autism severity,The gaze of character image,hand,social objects.(3)In different background,autistic children show different gaze for characters,in background information presented “weak”watch for a long time in particular.(4)Background information in the “weak”,autistic children better understand the performance of event action,the object image,psychological state and whole story.Therefore,picture book with background information presented “weak”can be one of the effective ways of autistic children education intervention.
