The Impact Of Feedback On Family Similarity Learning And Its Learning Mechanisms

Category learning is a basic ability of human cognition. Feedback is a necessary part of category learning. Past research always adopt rule basic task and information integration task to discuss the influence of feedback to category learning. However, family resemblance task has more dimensionality and characteristic, more like nature category. Besides, it could be detect the learner's learning strategy and representation pattern, so it is necessary to discuss the influence of feedback to category learning of family resemblance. The research adopt the classical experiment paradigm, discuss the influence of feedback information,feedback type and feedback polarity to category learning of family resemblance.Research contains three experiments: Experiment 1 discuss the influence of simple feedback and full feedback to category learning of family resemblance task and its learning mechanism; Experiment 2 discuss the influence of F-J feedback and Y-N+ feedback to category learning of family resemblance task and its learning mechanism; Experiment 3 discuss the influence of positive feedback and negative feedback to category learning of family resemblance task and its learning mechanism.The result of research showed that:1. There is no significant difference between simple feedback and full feedback in category learning;2. F-J feedback of category learning of family resemblance task is significant better than Y-N+ feedback in category learning;3. There is no significant difference between positive feedback and negative feedback in category learning;According to there results, we inferred that:1. The category learning of family resemblance task is main dependent in implicit category learning;2. In category learning of family resemblance task, the mechanism of positive feedback is reinforcement learning, and the mechanism of negative feedback is error driven.
