Georg Philipp Telemann(1681—1767) was one of the greatest composers of the Baroque period in Germany, and he is a heavyweight figure that hold up the German music from Schutz to Bach. Telemann, as a composer, creates the most musical genres and musical forms in Germany in the second half of the 18 th century in Germany even across Europe. Simultaneously, he made a great contribution in the field of musical practice. Result of his efforts, his status and honor are higher than Bach and Handel in society at that time. However, these are not just because of his work number, but he pushed the development of the instrumental music to a higher level. Especially on the strength of instrumental music and the importance of emotional expression of music, he had a greater influence on the later North German music camp, Mannheim music camp. Moreover, he also had a very high attainments in the genres and forms of creating the instrumental music. It can be said that strengthening and support of the bass part and the function of the play on the triple sonata, all benefited from the potential attempts in his works, which played an important guiding role of the later development of the sonata.The purpose of this paper is to let us deeply understand the feature of creation Style of composers in different regions and countries in the Baroque period, deeply understand the overall style of Baroque music, and interpret the Baroque music more comprehensively and deeper through argument on the works of Telemann. And through research and exploration of the works of Telemann, we can know every composer's contribution to development process of Western music, what is more, we can have a comprehensive grasp of the context, values, and meaning of the entire history of Western music.
