The aim of present research is to investigate the effect of group counseling on the inclination of time management for high school students. The 16 students in Zongyang high school with the same level of time management inclination were obtained through questionnaire and interview method by class presentation. Then they were divided into experimental and controlling group. According to the self-administered group counseling plan, the experiment was conducted 8 times taking a total 12 hours. In the experiment process, the order of life and study was as usual without any intervention. The time management change of the coached students was discussed based on the method of quantitative and qualitative evaluating method, in which the scores were analysed in Teenager’s Time Management Inclination form. Plus, combining with the observing record of the leader and the analysis of responses from the group members. On one hand, the experiment results were illustrated. On the other hand, the effective factors of driving the groups were explored.The following conclusions were obtained:1.the overall grades of time management inclination and different dimensions vary noticeably for high students (p<0.05), which also had a large difference with that of chosen students.2.By analyzing the materials, it showed that group counseling had a positive effect on the time management of high school students. Those effective factors to promote the achievement of group targets includes the atmosphere, similarity and interactions of team members, as well as the interactions between the team instructor and team members.At last, the article advised on how to improve the teenagers, identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture according to the results.
