The Study On Investigating The Relationship Between English Academic Procrastination And Time Management Disposition Of High School Students | | Posted on:2022-07-02 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:J X Li | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2505306497483834 | Subject:Subject teaching | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Since the implementation of quality-oriented education in China,the phenomenon of academic procrastination has been widespread among high school students.High school is a critical period for students to develop their learning habits.However,academic procrastination does great harm to high school students who are laying a solid foundation of knowledge and enriching their learning ability.Given that reducing English academic procrastination can improve students’ language learning status,it is necessary to explore the English academic procrastination of high school students.This thesis aims to investigate the relationship between English academic procrastination and time management disposition of high school students.Three research questions are involved:(1)What is the current situation of high school students’ English academic procrastination? What is the current situation of high school students’ time management disposition?(2)What is the relationship between time management disposition and students’ English academic procrastination?(3)What is high school students’ opinion of time management disposition?This thesis chooses senior high school students as the participants,adopting the research methods of questionnaires and interview to investigate the current situation and relationship between their academic procrastination and time management disposition in English.Results to question one is that high school students have significant academic procrastination and poor time management ability.And the results of Independent sample T test results indicate that there is no significant gender difference in English academic procrastination.Results to question two is that there is a significant negative correlation between English academic procrastination and time management disposition.Results to question three is that high school students have a misunderstanding of the time management disposition.Finally,based on the results of the study,some suggestions are put forward to reduce students’ English academic procrastination.Teachers should improve their management ability,pay attention to each student’s learning status,and at the same time enhance the class to improve students’ interest.Students should attach importance to English learning and free themselves from the bondage of academic procrastination. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | High School Students, English Learning, Academic Procrastination, Time Management Disposition | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
