Chinese learning anxiety is pervasive among foreign students and it has some influence on students' language learning in different degree. And as one dimension of cognitive style, field independence and field dependence also play an important role in the process of language learning. Based on the Chinese Classroom Anxiety Scale and Embedded Figures Test, the paper had made an investigation on foreign students in initial and intermediate stages, and analyzed the basic situation of Chinese learning anxiety, cognitive style, and the relations among their Chinese learning anxiety, cognitive style, listening and speaking scores. Moreover, this paper made a comparison on the relations of these three factors for both stages.Firstly, the study result shows that foreign students in the two stages are suffered from moderate degree anxiety in Chinese language learning; Secondly, for foreign students in the two stages, the Chinese learning anxiety is not affected by the factors of district and age. But as for gender, the initial stage foreign students' Chinese learning anxiety is not affected by it while the intermediate stage foreign students' is affected; Thirdly, most of the two stages foreign students have the field dependence cognitive style; Fourthly, the cognitive style of the two stages foreign students are not affected by gender, region and age.As for the relations among three factors, the study result shows that there is a negative correlation between the Chinese learning anxiety and cognitive style for the two stages foreign students in different degree; Secondly, there also is a negative correlation between Chinese learning anxiety and listening and speaking scores for the two stages foreign students in different degree; And thirdly, there is a positive correlation between cognitive style and listening and speaking scores for the two stages foreign students in different degree; Fourthly, Chinese learning anxiety has different degree of mediating effect between cognitive style and listening and speaking scores for the two stages.
