Culturally-loaded words are the words which have the meaning of national customs, which reflect the political, economic, cultural, historical and folk customs of country. It is hard to describe these words if you leave the national cultural background. There is a large part of words in Chinese vocabulary, which conveys deep national cultural. This paper based on the definition, features and functionality of Culturally-loaded words, combined with the meaning of cultural characteristic, to discuss the importance and necessity of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. This paper is divided into three parts:the first part is about introduction, it analyses the status of Culturally-loaded words, to stress the importance of Culturally-loaded words in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. The second part is divided into four chapter:The first chapter discuss the definitions of Culturally-loaded words and the meaning of country folk expressions, highlighting the importance of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. The second chapter is making the statistical analysis of "The level of Chinese Vocabulary and Characters Syllabus to know about the Culturally-loaded words, and the same time I also make the analyses about official exams of HSK, to obtain a conclusion that is important for Culturally-loaded words teaching. So the teachers should draw attention to the Culturally-loaded words teaching. The third chapter is some suggestions about teaching. Culturally-loaded words teaching should follow some principles, and the teachers also should take the right way when teaching foreigners. The forth chapter mentions some problems about teaching process, teachers should pay more attentions to Culturally-loaded words teaching than before, also provide a reference for teaching. The last part is the conclusion. As we all known, Culturally-loaded words have a important status in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, but there are still some problems in teaching waiting for solving. We need to try hard to find better ways to enrich the teaching experience.
