| For children entering the kindergarten, it will be the first step that children separate from their parents. And it is the beginning that children make connections with society by themselves. They need to adapt the new environment and build new relationships with their teachers and classmates as soon as possible. But there are large numbers of children will have inadaptation appearances, such as emotional instability and so on. Allow children adapting to the kindergarten’s new environment is a big challenge for children themselves, parents and teachers. And let children have good adaptive capacity not only is the children’s developmental goal from the guideline of "3-6 years old children’s learning and development guidelines", but also is the need for kindergarten’s educational practice. This thesis mainly applies the methods of interview and questionnaire to explore the current situation of children’s kindergarten adaption, children’s emotional regulation strategies and parental rearing patterns, then examines the relations of these three variables and children’s emotional regulation strategies’ mediating function between children’s kindergarten adaption and parental rearing patterns. According to the results, the author makes some rearing recommendations to the parents. Through randomly issuing questionnaires to one hundred eighty three years old children’s parents and teachers in Xi’an’s four kindergartens, the author learns about the current situation about the three variables.According to the statistics, the author gets the following conclusions. First, the children’s kindergarten adaption integral level is very well. And there is no significant difference in children’s sex and parental education level. But in the family children number aspect there gender difference on the kindergarten adaption’s emotional competence dimension. Second, the score of positive emotional regulation strategies is higher than negative emotional strategies. As to the overall emotional regulation strategies, there is no significant difference in children’s gender. And on the help seeking strategy and the problem solving strategy, there exist difference in the parental education level. Besides, on the aggressive behavioral strategy, there also exists difference in the family children number. Thirdly, Supportive/Engaged dimension of parental rearing patterns score is obviously higher than Hostile/Coercive dimension score. And data analysis also revealed no significant difference either on children’s gender or on family children number as related on to parental rearing patterns. But, there are significant differences on parental educational level as related to Support/ Engaged dimension. Fourthly, three variables regression analysis show that children’s positive emotional regulation strategies is a partial mediator effect between the relation of Support/Engaged dimension of parental rearing patterns and children’s kindergarten adaption and children’s negative emotional regulation strategies is a full mediator effect between the relation of Hostile/Coercive dimension of parental rearing patterns and children’s kindergarten adaption. It demonstrates that through the effect of the children’s emotional regulation strategies parental rearing patterns effect children’s kindergarten adaption.Due to parents’ significant effect to children before children entering the kindergarten, the author according to the study results offers some rearing suggestions to parents. On the parental rearing patterns author offers the following suggestions:firstly, parents need to improve themselves educational quality, and pay attention to the role of good examples. Secondly, parents should equally communicate with their children, and give children free space to grow up.
