Many studies have shown that children's internal, external problems and school adaptation problems are related to children's self-regulation,peer relationship and other factors. The ability of self-regulation refers to individuals who suppress behavioral tendencies or poor behaviors that are not in line with social norms and to regulate individual responses.Self-regulation is considered to be part of social capacity and is the key to the socialization and development of children. This study focuses on the relationship between self-regulation ability and children's internal, external problems and learning problems.Using the context of contextual development,we examine the role of peer acceptance between the variables.Using the development cascade model,we examine the development path of each variable and the mechanism of mutual influence with time change. We conducted a three-year follow-up study in Chongming District,Shanghai,China. The participants are from primary school and middle school, between grade three to grade six,a total of 1027 students. This study uses questionnaire through peer survey,self-report and other report. The results showed that:(1)There was a significant self-regulation difference in gender, and the level of girls was higher than that of boys.(2)There was a significant peer acceptance difference in gender, and the level of girls was higher than that of boys.(3)There was a significant externalization problems difference in the gender, and the externalization of boys was higher than that of the girls.(4)There was significant internalization problems difference in the gender, and the internalization of girls was higher than that of the boys.(5)There was a significant learning problem difference in the gender, and the level of boys was higher than that of girls.(6)The T1 self-regulation can be used to negatively predict the T3 externalization problems through the mediating role of T2 peer acceptance.(7)The T1 self-regulation can negatively predict the T3 learning problems, which was mediated by T2 companion. To sum up,it was found that self-regulation can predict the externalization problems and learning problems through the mediator's role of peer acceptance, but the internalization problems cannot be predicted.
