Because of different religions and cultural backgrounds,the researches on the pipe organin our country are limited,thus people fail to be familiar with the knowledge on pipe organ music.To know something about the development of Western music and Bach music creation,it is necessary to have an understanding about pipe organ.This papershall be divided into three chapters.The first chapter gives a brief introduction to the history of pipe organ,in which it explores the origin of pipe organ in religion and shows the status of pipe organ in religious music.The second chapter makes a brief introduction to the keyboard instruments in Baroque period– the wedge keyhole and harpsichord piano,which are different from the features of piano.In this chapter,it also makes a comparison for the basic structure between Bach period's pipe organ and modern pipe organ,which is helpful for summing up the development and changes of Baroque period's keyboard instruments and pipe organ.The third chapter studiesthe sound effects of the piano rehearsal in the pursuit of Bach tube organ works,which shall be analyzed from the following three aspects: sound effects,playing characteristics and pedals.By analyzing the playing characteristics of the piano arranger of the Bach pipe organ,it can be seen that the piano arranger would pursue the sound effects of pipe organ on playing skills,which also becomes one of the media to further understand pipe organ music.
