Lu Xun’s unique writing style and the formation of literary thoughts are closely related to his meaningful “reference and learning”.A period of time after May 4th Movement,Lu Xun has thought highly of Kuriyagawa Hakuson’s works and translated them.As a whole,Lu Xun’s literary and artistic thoughts during this period has struck a most response to Kuriyagawa’s.However,with the continuous development of Lu Xun’s literary and artistic thoughts,his thoughts show more superior to some extent;From the specific literature practice,the writing of “Weeds” is greatly inspired by“The Symbol of Depression”,Lu Xun draw lessons from the “symbolism in a broad sense”of literature concept of Kuriyagawa Hakuson and his specific symbolism,but Lu Xun’s thoughts show the certain uniqueness and transcendence;“Weeds”and“The Symbol of Depression”are different texts,but they have lots of internal relations.In addition to the symbolism of literature and art,both of them reflect the writer’s thinking about life and self,which contains profound philosophy of life.This paper intends to study the intrinsic relationship of the above aspects between Lu Xun and Kuriyagawa,specifically divided into the following three parts:First,Lu xun’s translation of Kuriyagawa Hakuson and his works,especially the translation of the “The Symbol of Depression”;Second,comparing and analyzing the literary and artistic thoughts in “The Symbol of Depression” and Lu Xun’s literary and artistic thoughts,and to explore the internal relations and differences between them;Third,from the specific text form,the paper discusses the influence of “The Symbol of Depression” on the creation of“Weeds”,and the inheritance and transcendence of Lu Xun in his specific works,and analyzes the uniqueness and value of “Weeds” in Lu Xun’s literary creation.
