The investigation of language use situation is one of the important topics in the study of social linguistics.Through field investigation,we can get people’s language use,language ability and language attitude.This study investigates the language use situation of tibetan students in Inland Tibetan classes in Shaanxi.Rely on the high quality education resources and educational condition,Inland Tibetan classes has been established.Tibetan students can study in Inland.This is a special form of education and an important supplement of Tibet education.Inland Tibetan classes have trained a large number of qualified people to meet the needs of the country,and greatly support the development of Tibet,also help to promote ethnic unity and stability.Inland Tibetan classes was established in 1985,it has been built more than 30 years.On the one hand,Inland Tibetan classes has many benefits,but on the other hand,there are still some areas for perfection.There is still much room for improvement.We need to insist this special policy for a long time,at the same time,through this survey,we also point out some problems need to be optimized.Because it’s important value,we must research on Inland Tibetan classes deeply.At present,there is no research of language use about Inland Tibetan classes in Shaanxi area,so the survey is apparently necessary and significant.In order to get a comprehensive understanding of language use situation about Tibetan students in shaanxi,we obtained a large number of raw materials through questionnaires and interviews,and through the analysis of data,we can find out the language use of Tibetan students,their language attitude,bilingual attitude,and study the relation between the language behavior and the language attitude.And found the characteristics of Tibetan students in language use,especially after study in Xi’an,Is there any change in their language use?Through the investigation and analysis,we want to give some advices to China’s educational policies.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the development of the Inland Tibetan classes and literature review.The second chapter focuses on the present situation of the language use of Tibetan students,and the interaction between language use and social variables.The third chapter mainly introduces the language ability of the Tibetan students.The fourth chapter mainly introduces the language attitude.The fifth chapter introduces some recommendations,we know that the students hold a positive attitude towards the Inland Tibetan classes,and hope to get more opportunity to learn Tibetan.The sixth chapter is conclusion,This chapter summarizes the language use situation of Tibetan students,and give some relevant suggestions.The main points of this paper are as follows:First,Tibetan students tend to use Mandarin and Tibetan in daily communication,The frequency of using mandarin is very high.And there are intergenerational differences in language use:many students usually use Tibetan language to communicate with elders,and often use mandarin communicate with peers.Sometimes the topic will also affect the choice of language.Second,great changes in the environment will affect the language ability of students.After study in Xi’an,language environment has been greatly changed.For this reason,the mandarin language ability of students is enhanced,and the Tibetan ability decreased significantly.Third,the students have very deep feelings for the Tibetan language and they support the bilingual language.They hope to learn mandarin and Tibetan language at the same time,but the relevant legislation and supporting measures are not perfect.We must recognize the important value of Tibetan,improve our protection consciousness,and put into action.Fourth,language use,language ability and language attitude are interrelated and influence each other.The frequency of language use may be affected the language ability,even language attitude.The change of language attitude will also affect the frequency of language use.To a certain extent,language ability will be affected the frequency of language use and language attitude.Fifth,the language use situation of Tibetan students is the result of comprehensive effects of many factors.The students’ gender,age,family location,class form,language environment and other social factors will influence language use,language ability,language attitude.
