| George Crumb(1929-)is one of the most outstanding avant-garde composers in the United States.Crumb’s new music is characterized by its wonderful imagination and perfect control of the "timbre" and "acoustics".He is good at using "acoustics" to conceive and write.<A Haunted Landscape> is a orchestra which wrote by George Crumb’s in 1984,for this piece,there is no independent theoretical studies temporarily.The main feature of this orchestral is that Crumb used different sounds to form a specific sound image,at the same time Crumb put these sound images to a specific symbol of content.Therefore,this article mainly discusses the sound characteristics and functions of this work.The research methods of this paper mainly use "speculative method" and "empirical method".The focus of the paper is the characteristics of sound and its structure,image,image on the function;the difficulty lies in the determination and analysis of the sound characteristics。Innovation is that use "acoustics" this feature as the entry point of this article,analysis techniques,while in-depth analysis of sound symbolic connotations. |
