Sino-US Environmental Diplomacy Research During Clinton's Administration

Environmental diplomacy of China and the United States developed in the 1980's,after decades of development,it has achieved fruitful results.And in every tenure as President of the United States,it has it's own characteristics.President Clinton took office in 1993,Clinton is the first President to pay special attention to problems of environment in American history,he promoted the development of the environment between China and the United States diplomatic vigorously.Therefore this article mainly analyzes the US President Bill Clinton period(1993-2000)of environmental diplomacy between China and the United States.First of all,analyze the Clinton administration environmental diplomacy between the two countries to carry out the background of China and the United States.With international environment problem increasingly serious,the United States' politics in China included environmental protection in their country's national strategy,and environmental deterioration of both countries are the background.Then the background of the two countries to conduct environmental diplomacy.Second,analyze the Clinton administration environment of China and the United States diplomatic achievements.Gradually similarly formed between China's and the United States' concept of environmental protection at this stage,leaders began to visits each other to promote the development of the environmental cooperation,and then gradually formed a stable environmental cooperation mechanism.Again,analyze the Clinton administration problems existing in the environmental diplomacy of China and the United States.Although Clinton administration environment of China and the United States diplomatic vigorously,the United States dues to their own interests,and the two countries of different ideologies,there are still many problems.Finally,the way of Sino-US environmental diplomacy in the new period are proposed.Advancing the environmental diplomacy of China and the United States has important role in the environment of China and the United States diplomatic achievements.
