Sino-US Environmental Diplomacy During George W. Bush's Administration

This paper systematically studies the Sino US Environmental Diplomacy during the political period of President George W.Bush from 2001 to 2008.With the Chinese since twenty-first Century,the rapid development of economy,the contradiction between economic and social development and environmental problems have become increasingly prominent.The development of American foreign policy environment with the change of government ruling and the occurrence of distinct changes,compared with the Clinton government actively foreign policy environment,in the influence of George W.Bush administration's unilateral principle under the guidance of American foreign policy environment has become relatively negative,especially after announced its withdrawal from the Kyoto Protocol,more is the United States in the field of international environment,pull into the bottom.Firstly analyzes the development changes of two environmental diplomacy policy.Again is the analysis of contradictions in the process of Sino US environmental diplomacy.On the issue of climate change between the two countries respectively represent the different factions of the position,as a developing country,China advocates a more reasonable common but differentiated responsibilities,and America as a developed country industrialization degree is relatively mature,more from their own interests and send the environment foreign hope to contain the rise of Chinese,regardless of actual situation and developing countries unilaterally emphasize the common equal responsibility in environmental protection.And also the lack of strategic mutual trust in environmental cooperation,the United States for the China.Finally the evaluation of Sino US influence.On the one hand the Sino US country environmental diplomacy led the regional and global environmental cooperation progress,and in the environment of globalization is required the participation of countries and maintenance.The struggle and cooperation of Sino US in to China provides a lot of environmental diplomacy the positive significance of environmental diplomacy.But further development will also cause some negative factors such as interference,on the country's sovereignty and sovereign interference balance problems.
