Research On Campus Activities And Cultural Adaptation Of Southeast Asian Students

Recently,with the economic development of our country and the enhancement of our comprehensive national strength,more and more foreign students come to study in China.China further strength the cooperation with other Southeast Asia countries with the establishment of ASEAN Free Trade Area and the raise of "B&R".The education cooperation is one of them.Yunnan has attracted a lots of southeast students for her special geographical advantage.It's both a chance for Yunnan' international education and a challenge never before.These southeast students will adapt a process from familiar to strange environment.like the different customs,religion and value will make them feel difficulty and unaccustomed.Campus activities are one of the most important parts of their life which plays an very important role to borden their interpersonal communication and improve the cultural exchange.Through the participation of campus activities,the foreign students can also know and learn the local cultures.However,there are few studies about foreign students ' acculturation.So,if there has a contact between the participation and foreign students ' acculturation? And the correlation is strong or weak?In order to prove the above assumptions,this study combine the qualitative research and quantitative research to analyze and know the foreign students' participation of campus activities and cross-cultural adaptation.By the Participatory observation of the southeast students in Yunnan university of finance and economics and ask questions on this basis.The study also used the questionnaire and through the in-depth interviews to make an in-depth study about the relationship and mechanism of action between the southeast foreign students,which in a particular space,the participation of campus activities and the acculturation.It is found that through the relevant data,the overall adaptation level of southeast foreign students is well.And there has a correlation between the participation of their campus activities and the acculturation(the correlation coefficient VS the significance level is less than 0.05).
