The heavy metal contamination in coal mining industry and its environmental geochemistry are becoming research hotspots nowadays.The study on geochemistry of the coal is of great significance on resource utilization and protecting environment.The samples of No.6 coal from southern mining area in Jungar coalfield are analyzed by polarization microscope,XRF,ICP-MS,GC,meteorological chromatography-mass spectrometry and so on.The characteristics of coal quality,organic geochemical and trace elements geochemical have been researched,using the knowledge of coal geochemistry,coal geology,coal petrology,mineralogy and sedimentology.The result shows that:?1?The contents of moisture,ash yield,total sulfur are low and volatile matter are high of the No.6 coal from southern mining area in Jungar coalfield.Vitrinite reflectance is 0.62%indicating they belongs to medium rank coal.The major element oxides Al2O3?42.46%?and SiO2?51.70%?are dominated in coal ash and others are significantly depleted.The weight average of vitrinites,liptinites and inertinites are57.3%,4.5%and 27.7%,respectively.Minerals are mainly composed of clay minerals?terrestrial input?,carbonate minerals,a small number of sulfide minerals,boehmites and accessory minerals.?2?Soluble organic matter has high in aromatic hydrocarbons,and concluded that coal-forming plant most are higher plant,but also have lower plants and aquatic organisms in parts of the coal seam.Sedimentary environment is given priority to with weak oxidation and reduction environment which is indicated by Pr/Ph and three fluorene series compounds.The No.6 coal from southern mining area in Jungar coalfield is not a good hydrocarbon source rocks.?3?The No.6 coal from southern mining area in Jungar coalfield is slightly enriched in V,Ga,Sr,Zr,Nb,In,Pb and Th and enriched in Li,Hf,W and Ta.Guanzigou mine is relative enriched in Li,Be,Co,Ni,as the same time Chuancaogedan mine is relative enriched in Zn,Sr,Cd and Ba,however,Haerwusu mine is relative enriched in V and Cr.Lithium,Ga and Cr are enriched in the gangue;Rb,Cu,Ba,Au and Tl are enriched in the bottom of the coal;Co,Ni and Cu are enriched in parts of the gangues.Li,Ga,Rb and Cs are associated with clay minerals;Sr,Ba,Sc and U are associated with gorceixite;V,Cr,and Pb are associated with sulfides,Cu and Be are associated with organic matters and other elements with multiple occurrence state.The contents of Al and Li are more than their industrial use grade and they may developed an ore deposit.In addition,the content of Ga is also high in the coal and it has the potential to develop local gallium ore deposits.It is worth noting that the contents of V and Th,which are latent toxic elements,are high both in the coal and gangue and they may produce certain harms to the environment.
