With the increase of coal resources exploiting and the atmospheric pollution increasingly serious,the reasonable recycling use of the beneficial minerals in coal and evaluating and removing harmful elements appear significant.Jungar coalfield is one of the five biggest open-pit coal mine in our country,Jungar Coalfield is situated on the northeastern margin of Ordos basin.10 samples from lower part 6#coal was selected as the research object in Xiaoyugou mine.Based on the theoretical knowledge of coal geology,coal geochemistry,petrology,coal petrology,sedimentology,the organic components,mineral composition,major elements,trace elements content of No.6 coal of the Xiaoyugou Mine were determined using reflective microscope,ICP-MS,XRF,XRD and so on.Distribution and occurrence characteristics of associated elements in No.6 are discussed and the harmful elements in No.6 coal were evaluated in this paper.The results show that the maturity of No.6,which belongs to the long-flame coal of bituminous coal,is low.The vitrinite is the most ingredient with average content44.95%and it is mainly about collodetrinite and vitrodetrinite;Inertinite is only half of vitrinite with average content 23.59%,Vitrodetrinite is the highest in Inertinite,followed by fusinite,semifusinite,micrinite;Exinite?8.89%?is mainly microsporinite and thick-wall cutinite.The trace elements of enrichment are In?Li?Ga?U,which are highly correlated with ash.The elements of slight enrichment are Be?Co?Ni?Cd?Pb,and all trace elements do not meet the industrial-grade.Major elements are primarily Al2O3 and SiO2 and the left are low.Minerals are mainly kaolinite in coal,pyrite content takes the second place,carbonate minerals and quartz are almost invisible.The harmful trace elements Pb,Cd,Cu are highly relevant with ash,especially in the high ash content of coal seam or close to the floor these elements may appear high value;Other harmful trace elements Tl?Co?Ni are highly relevant with pyrite,and all harmful elements are relatively rich,so we should pay attention to it in production.
