With the development of China's maritime transport and marine resources exploration,the growing environmental monitoring in coastal waters becomes particularly important.After the investigation in the progress of the offshore environmental monitoring system and the research status at home and abroad,an offshore environmental monitoring system was designed based on embedded ARM kernel and ZigBee technology,with functions of real time data acquisition,wireless network communication,WEB browser interface,real-time data query,etc..The wireless sensor nodes and wireless gateway were designed based on the ZigBee chip CC2530,and system hardware design and system structure were designed;a ZigBee wireless sensor network with the functions of the sensor data acquisition,wireless transmission and networking were realized based on the Z-stack protocol stack;data monitoring and control function of Gateway monitoring software were designed and realized based on Android SDK and JNI technology;with the help of the Lighttpd,PHP and SQLite3 technology we could access and browse the web server to monitor the data,and could remotely control the sensor nodes.By the test,the system can collect sensor data periodically through the ZigBee terminal node,and transmit them to the coordinator node through the multi-hop method,to the gateway for storage and management through the serial port.In addition,the collected data can be demonstrated through the web interface,and the real-time data display and query of the inter device can be completed.
