The dingo(Canis lupus dingo)is a type of wild dog which live in Australia.Dingo is a very interesting animals,it lives in Australia, but it isn't the indigenous species of Australia, now, there are two main hypotheses proposed for the geographic origin of the dingo ancestors,Indian origin hypotheses, and East Asia origin hypotheses. And there is no conclusive evidence of whole genome sequencing,so the researcher are always arguing about it.Because the special geographical position of Australia, far away from other continents, the ancestors of dingo were most probably introduced to Australia with the humans in boats, therefore the study of dingo is significant. In addition, dingo is an ideal bio-model to study feralisation, because dingo have a longer history of feralisation than other model about 5000 years, and dingo isolated from both wild and domestic ancestor for several thousand years, this is very rare in other model. We collect 97 dog and wolf from a worldwide correct all probable dingo ancestor, then we sequence 10 dingoes that interspersed among the whole Australia and 2 NGSDs.Our study provides strong genetic evidence that the dingo ancestor is domesticated dogs coming from East Asia, and through the Southeast Asian islands to reach Australia.Based on the result of the demographic history analysis,we think the dingo ancestor arrive Southeast Asia islands at 5300-6600 years before, and arrive Australia at 4300-5000 years before. The time of Austronesian expansion much later than our result show the time of dingo arrive Southeast Asian islands and Australia. So we think the migration of dingo and the Austronesian expansion has not related. We think the dingo arrive Australia possible by a previously unknown human migration activity.Meanwhile,we use dingo to study feralisation and we find some interesting feralization gene.they closely associated with neurodevelopment, immune and reproduction. And then,we find although on the whole process of feralization is different from domestication and it is not a reverse process of domestication,in some significant region feralisation and domestication is overlap and in some region feralisation is reverse process of domestication. At last,we performed a functional experiments and find the SNP variants in dingo can affect expression of ARHGEF7 which a feralization gene of dingo. We use the population history of dingo infer an unknown human migration activity, and use the study of feralisation,we find the basic pattern of feralisation. Now dingo is not a ordinary population of dog,it has become an important evidence of human migration, the best bio-model to study feralisation. The study of dingo has gone to a higher field.
