It is of great significance to the exploration and development of shale gas that three-dimensional geological modeling and visualization of shale gas reservoirs reveal the"dessert" of reservoirs. In recent years, the craft of horizontal well is widely used in the process of shale gas exploration and development.Unlike traditional vertical wells, the spatial distribution of mud-logging data in horizontal wells is sparse and uneven. It is also a great challenge for the traditional three-dimensional geological modeling methods that modeling the shale gas reservoirs based on sparse and uneven mud-logging data.In this paper,it is researched that three-dimensional geological of modeling and visualization of the shale gas reservoirs under sparse and uneven sampling conditions. The main different from the previous research includes:the algorithm of the generation of equilateral triangle mesh model is used to encrypt the sparse sampling points;the method of fitting the stratum interface by the regularized thin plate spline function is used;the method of expressing the properties of stratum by the subdivision stratum on the basis of generalized triangular prism model is studied and implemented. On the basis of geological engineer three-dimensional assistant(G3DA),the regularized thin plate spline function and the generalized triangular prism model of stratum subdivision based on equilateral triangular mesh model are implemented, and the shale gas reservoirs modeling is visualized. The results show that the distribution characteristics of the shale gas horizontal mud-logging data are taken into account, and the requirements of the visualization effect and precision can also be satisfied. At the meantime, the problem of 3D geological modeling of shale gas reservoirs under sparse and uneven horizontal mud-logging data is solved, and it is a greatly practical significance to promote shale gas exploration and development.
