The inductive contactless power transmission(ICPT)system applied in deep sea is an important subject of the docking technology between deep sea mobile platforms and seafloor observation networks, the underwater power transmission can be connected and switched off by a wet plug watertight connector, but its cost is very high and usage is limited because of foreign technological monopoly. To safely supply power to underwater mobile platforms the independent inductive coupling power transmission equipment needs to be developed quickly,it needs no direct electrical connection and can meet the application requirements of deep sea contactless docking system. The thesis involves the analysis, calculation, simulation and design of the electromagnetic coupler of ICPT system and the primary and secondary circuit system. The design of the electromagnetic coupler is the most critical part of ICPT system which determines the performance of power transmission. And the excitation circuit model of the loose coupler was established, the special hollow coaxial coupler was designed. The layout and basic parameters of the primary and secondary coil were acquired through theoretical analysis and magnetic simulation. Then a unique stress-resistant and water-proofing packaging for the electromagnetic coupler was developed considering the deep sea high-pressure and corrosion environment.Theory analysis of the circuit system for acquiring theoretical expressions of the main parameters of the ICPT system including the relevant parameters representing the system output capacity was based on the establishment of mutual inductance circuit model and reflection impedance model. Then the efficiency of transmission system can be improved by using soft switch technology, and the closed loop control method can guarantee the stability of power transmission, and both of them were preliminarily discussed in this paper. The designed MATLAB interface for system parameters selection through theoretical analysis has a guiding significance for the design of ICPT system. After finishing theoretical analysis of the system, the main electrical components and parts were chosen, and the drive circuit was designed. The steady state simulation with Simulink and the transient simulation with PSpice verify rationality and correctness of the system design, acquiring the output parameter curves of ICPT system and voltage and current curves of IGBT.In order to ensure the good heat dissipation of the circuit system, the electrical components and parts of PCB boards were arranged reasonably. In the end,the ICPT system with the electromagnetic coupler which works in the air or simulative sea water environment was tested in the lab,the input terminal is the direct voltage, and the output terminal is the electronic load with a constant resistance. To measure the performance of ICPT system, the input voltage and the load resistance were orderly changed. When the input voltage is over 200 V,the 500 W power can be transmitted with a 70%efficiency,testifying the feasibility of the system design and meeting the basic requirements of the project.
