With the increase of prospecting depth,geophysical methods are widely used in ore prospecting.Comprehensive geophysical prospecting application can obtain a variety of prospecting information from different angles,and lay the foundation for achieving prospecting results.Based on the project of "Geological and Mineral Survey of Metallic Minerals in Qimantage Metallogenic Belt,Qinghai Province",this paper studies the application effect of comprehensive geophysical prospecting methods in Yemaquan Iron-Polymetallic deposit,with a view to providing a basis for further prospecting work in Qimantage area.The study area is situated in Qimantage integrated exploration area of Qinghai Province,located in the southwestern margin of Qaidam Basin.The tectonic location of the study area belongs to the complex parts of Qinqikun orogenic system(IV),Qaidam block(IV-6),Eastern Kunlun arc-basin system(IV-8)and South Kunlun conjunction zone(IV-9).A large number of hydrothermal,skarn,porphyry and hydrothermal sedimentaryhydrothermal reformed iron,copper and polymetallic deposits have been found in the region,including the Xiarihamu Ni-Cu sulfide deposit,Kaerqueka copper-polymetallic deposit,Hutouya copper-polymetallic deposit,Yemaquan iron-polymetallic deposit,Galinger iron deposit,Sijiaoyang-Niukutou lead-zinc deposit,Kendekok iron-cobaltbismuth-gold deposit,Tawenchahan iron ore deposit,Tawenchahanxi iron-polymetallic deposit,Shaqiu iron-polymetallic deposit and Hasiyatu iron deposit were found in Yemaquan research area.Moreover,the ore-forming geological conditions are superior,and the prospecting criteria are obvious.Based on the results of geophysical survey and basic geological exploration in Yemaquan Iron Polymetallic mining area,the application effect of comprehensive geophysical prospecting method is discussed,which provides a basis for the popularization and application of Qimantage integrated exploration area.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the surveying and application effects of various geophysical methods in Yemaquan mining area,it is suggested that the comprehensive geophysical prospecting of gravity,magnetism and electricity should be carried out as far as possible in Qimantage metallogenic belt.The Specific methods should be determined according to the metallogenic geological background,mineral types and physical properties differences,and on the basis of area and profile work,conventional electrical sounding or electromagnetic sounding is carried out to grasp the variation law of electrical anomalies in depth.Skarn-type minerals are abundantly developed in the study area,and most of them are iron-polymetallic minerals.In this area,geophysical prospecting methods should be carried out as far as possible.Gravity method can distinguish strata and rock masses with different densities and their contact zones,magnetic method can search for ferromagnetic minerals,and electrical method can delineate metal minerals or mineralized bodies.Porphyry deposit is related to rock mass,so gravity and electricity integrated geophysical prospecting method can be used to delineate rock mass and metal ore body.If mineral or rock mass is magnetic,magnetic method can be added.Due to the existence of pyritization or carbonaceous strata in some mining areas,large-scale strong polarizability anomalies overlap with ore-induced anomalies,which reduces the direct prospecting effect of electrical prospecting in this geological background area.However,the above two ore-bearing strata can be delineated and the prospecting scope can be reduced.For example,the Kaerqueka ore zone is located in a large area of pyritization background area.The high polarizability and low resistance anomalies of Yemaquan Fe-polymetallic deposit reflect the carbonaceous strata in Tanjianshan.Although they can not be directly used for prospecting,they can be used to divide the metallogenic geological background.
