With the development of laser ablation processing technology,the processing technology of large complex surface patterns with high precision and efficiency has become very important.However,China's technology and equipment in this field are relatively backward due to China's comparatively late start in laser manufacturing technology and the tight restrictions on the related technologies and the export of equipment by foreign countries.The sophisticated manufacture of large complex surface patterns by the three-dimensional laser ablation processing system requires a pattern segmentation system which can divide large patterns into small ones that meet the processing requirements of scanning galvanometers.At present,China still relies on imports of such pattern segmentation systems.Therefore,China's independent research and development of pattern segmentation systems for laser ablation processing is not only significant for realizing integrated processing and manufacturing of large three-dimensional complex surface patterns,but also conducive to enhancing the competitiveness of China's high-end technical capability to laser manufacturing and equipment in the global market.This paper focuses on the research and implementation of the pattern segmentation system for laser ablation processing and studies the required functions,key technologies and implementation methods of this system.It is mainly divided into five parts.The first part summarizes relevant information on this topic and the research conducted by domestic and foreign scholars on the three-dimensional model surface pattern processing.The second part not only analyzes the major functions and requirements of the system but also studies relevant file formats.Then,this paper designs a search algorithm of texture point based on two search conditions of texture points,discusses the relevant theoretical knowledge of rotation matrix according to the need of pattern transformation,devises a segmentation algorithm based on region expansion and proposes a method for overall optimization,as well as designs a pattern segmentation algorithm according to the types and characteristics of the primitives and provides an efficient back projection method.In the following part,the system is divided into different functional modules according to its functions and requirements,and with an overall functional design and detailedly design of seven core modules the implementation of the entire pattern segmentation system is completed.In the final part,the functions and performance of the system are tested,and the error analysis experiment is also conducted with its error analysis model and error calculation process presented.The experimental results show that the pattern segmentation system implemented by this paper achieves all the preset functions efficiently with its precision controlled within the preset range.In addition,the system displays three-dimensional graphics well,and it is convenient to set parameters and interactively user-friendly.The actual field test also proves that the system is stable in functions,highly efficient in performance and great in processing results.Therefore,it can be used to process large model surface patterns.
