| Taipingling gold deposit,in Xiuyan county,is located at south margin of Liao-Ji mobile zone at northern part of North China Craton,and Yingkou-Fengcheng swell,and in the Maoling-Wangxingren Gold metallogenic belt.This area has good prospecting for gold polymetallic,and well ore-forming geological conditions.8.4 km northeastard away from Maoling gold deposit,little work was done in this area,but limited at local geological survey and adjacent region as Maoling and Naogou gold mineral exploration,and no further investigation done at Z2 Lead-Zinc geochemical anomaly zone.In order to find out the ore prospecting in this area and enlarge the adjacent Naogou gold metallic zone,detailed survey of mineral deposit were done in this thesis,using 1:10000 and 1:2000 geological mapping,1:10000 pedogeochemical prospecting,1:10000 induced polarization intermediate gradien and electrical sounding survey,and trenching and drilling geological and engineering methods to ascertain the ore-forming condition and metallogenetic regularity in Taipingling deposit,and to provide basis for further prospecting and possible mine construction.Ore bodies mainly lie in Gaixin Formation in Liaohe Group,with little in contact between Gaixin Formation and granite.NNE and NW oriented compressional fracture are ore controlled structure in this area while NW fault cutting through NNW fault.18 mineralized zones are found through geological mapping,with 17 gold bodies and 16 gold mineralized bodies,4 Lead(Silver)mineralized bodies and 5 sulfies veins.Moreover 34 quartz veins and altered fracture zone should be paid attention to their metallogenetic potentiality.Two types of orebodies can devided as altered rock type and quartz vein type.NNE oriented fault control the altered rock type body,typical zone as Taipingling ore block,while NW oriented fault control quartz vein type orebody,example as Heshanggou and Xidacha block.Superimposed position of two oriented faults can bear ore shoot.110 single elements anomalies are discovered during 1:10000 pedogeochemical prospecting,with 31 gold anomalies,20 silver anomalies,24 Lead anomalies,11 Zinc anomalies and 24 Arsenic anomalies.8 anomalous zones can be recognized from these 110 single elements anomalies,especially Heshanggou and Taipnigling.5 IP anomalies can be recognized through induced polarization intermediate gradient,inferred induced by gold bearing quartz veins,altered zones and sulfides bearing gold bodies,with JD5 as the largest anomaly zone,and highest intensity,low electrical resistivity and high polarization resistance zone extending in NNE direction.11 sections of IP sounding method reflected distribution characteristic of sulfides-rich zones and buried depth,occurrence of induced-polarization bodies.Six drillings hit the gold mineralized bodies,proving that the IP anomalies can caused by gold bearing altered zones and gold bodies.In conlusion,based on geological mapping,pedogeochemical prospecting,induced polarization intermediate gradien and electrical sounding survey,and trenching and drilling geological and engineering methods,we found that Gaixian Formation and NNE-NW oriented faults are good for ore-forming,and 18 mineralized zones are found through geological mapping,with 17 gold bodies and 16 gold mineralized bodies,4 Lead(Silver)mineralized bodies and 5 sulfies veins,8 pedogeochemical anomalous zones,5 IP anomalie were discovered.Drilings on 4 gold bodies in Heshanggou,3 gold altered zone in Taipingling and 1 Lead body in Gushanzi reveal distribution and deep extension of ore bodies.Detailed survey indicate taipingling area has good potential for gold and can pay further work on Lapbeigou for Au-Ag. |
