Transmission lines are an important part of the power system.Due to long-term exposure to the natural environment,they not only withstand internal pressures such as normal mechanical tension,material aging,and electrical loads,but also withstand lightning strikes,strong winds,floods,landslides,earthquakes,and bird damage.And other external factors.These factors will promote the aging and fatigue of various components on the line.If they are not discovered and eliminated in time,they may develop into various failures and even accidents,posing a threat to the safety and stability of the power system.Traditional artificial power line inspection has high labor intensity,low inspection efficiency,and it is also prone to danger when it encounters harsh environments.It can no longer meet the needs of modern grid development and safe operation and maintenance.With the rapid development of UAV technology,UAVs have begun to emerge in transmission line inspections.Using UAVs to conduct power line inspections can more effectively grasp the operational conditions of the lines and the changes in the surrounding environment,identify potential safety hazards and take timely measures.Corresponding measures shall be taken to prevent accidents or limit the accidents to the minimum scope of influence so as to ensure the safety of transmission lines and the stable operation of the power system.Compared with the traditional manual inspection,UAVs used in power line inspection have the advantages of high detection efficiency,low risk,good maneuverability,and ease of use.So as to provide a good development prospect for its application in power operations.This paper takes the power line image obtained by drone as the research object,firstly proposes a power line extraction method based on the constraint of vertical plane,and extracts the power lines in the image.Then,based on the principles of photogrammetry and the characteristics of image matching,the power line distance measurement method based on the plumb line trajectory algorithm is proposed to quickly and accurately calculate the distance between the power line and the crossover below.Finally,the method proposed in this paper is written into a program by C++software,and then the feasibility of the proposed method is confirmed.The main research content of this article is as follows:(1)Power Line Extraction Method Based on Plumb Line Constraints.The first is to preprocess the image,including image filtering,noise reduction and feature enhancement.The second is to use Canny operator to perform edge detection on the image and extract the edges of the power line.Then the edge of the power line is tracked and fitted by Hough transform to get an approximation.The linear conductors of the wire were finally extracted from the Hough transform based on the plumb line constraint method and the spatial three-dimensional coordinates of the power line points were obtained.(2)Power line method based on plumb line trajectory algorithm.Using the extracted power lines,combined with the principle of photogrammetry,we use the vertical line trajectory algorithm to quickly solve the distance between the power line and the underlying crossover,and make early warning judgments on the cross-barriers that threaten the safety of power lines.
