In today's world, the international system is undergoing accelerated evolution and deep adjustment. The economic, political, and ecological issues facing humanity are becoming more and more global and require the joint efforts of the international community.Among them, the global, public, latecomer and irreversible characteristics of climate change make global climate governance increasingly a major realistic issue in today's world.Previously, the reform of the international order accelerated, and the evolution of the power system of the international system showed the characteristics of"eastward rise and westward fall",which also led to a series of profound changes and adjustments in the global governance structure.Similarly, the basic model of global climate governance has generally experienced historical evolution from the period of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to the period of the Kyoto Protocol and then to the Paris Agreement.Among them,as an emerging power and emerging power under the global climate governance pattern,China and the South Pacific Island countries play an increasingly indispensable role in the global climate governance. The climate governance cooperation between China and the South Pacific Island countries has many practical and potential strategic values, which is conducive to the South Pacific Island countries'response to the climate change dilemma, the promotion and implementation of China's "One Belt,One Road" initiative, and the multi-interest appeals that are conducive to balancing the global climate governance pattern.Regardless of the perspective of international responsibility or global climate governance,it is imperative to promote climate change cooperation between China and the South Pacific island countries. In recent years,China and the South Pacific Island countries have actively established a climate governance cooperation platform, promoted multi-party participation in policy exchanges and dialogues, continued capacity building activities, and China continued to implement climate assistance to the South Pacific Island countries. The cooperation mechanism and platform are increasing, the cooperative actors are diversified, and the cooperation modes are diversified. While seeing the results,we must also clearly understand that the cooperation between China and the South Pacific Island climate governance still faces interferences such as opposition debates within and outside the country. There is a gap between policy consensus and project landing, and coordination among countries.Reality challenges such as lack of sex.In addition, the language barrier is also a major obstacle to the cooperation between the two sides in the field, which has hindered the effectiveness of the cooperation between the two parties to a certain extent. To this end,we will continue to deepen the cooperation between China and the South Pacific Island countries in climate governance. We need to accurately grasp the new opportunities for global climate governance transformation and deep integration into the global climate governance system;consolidate the cooperation between the two sides in international climate negotiations and deepen the consensus on climate governance cooperation;Pay attention to dialogue and exchanges between the two sides, avoid unnecessary misunderstandings and contradictions;focus on improving the island's own climate governance capabilities, enhance the effectiveness of climate governance cooperation between the two sides;implement a comprehensive three-dimensional climate governance cooperation model to enhance the effectiveness of climate governance cooperation.
