High steep slope easily induces landslides,collapse and other geological disasters,causing loss to the people's life and property.It is a very necessary and important work to investigate and evaluate the high and steep slope area.Most of the high and steep slopes are often difficult to pass,and it is difficult for investigators to obtain the necessary information accurately.It is very useful to use the terrain data to combine remote sensing images,to determine the slope area,and to extract its geometric features and terrain factors.The digitalized investigation method can provide data base for large-scale slope area investigation and evaluation,and improve work efficiency.In this paper,Xiling village is selected as a typical study area.Xiling well is a geological hazard prone area.There are many mountains in China and different slopes,adjacent to the city of Taiyuan.The research status and application status of high steep slope,digital elevation model and digital terrain analysis are analyzed.By using high resolution remote sensing image and digital elevation model,the slope area of the study area is extracted.The length,width,slope height and length of the slope are calculated,and the projection area and surface area are calculated.The geometry of the slope is analyzed by what information.The slope area,slope direction,surface curvature and surface roughness topographic factor are calculated.The high and steep slope area of the study area is selected according to the condition of "slope height >30m,slope >30 degree".The length width ratio of high steep slope is calculated.The plane shape of high steep slope is divided into four types: horizontal,equiaxial,longitudinal and narrow.The plane morphological features and distribution information are analyzed.From the hazard groups and distribution characteristics of high andsteep slopes,3 typical high and steep slopes are selected,which are the high steep slope in the northwest,the high steep slope at the entrance of the Kangxi highway and the high and steep slope beside the Fenhe River in the south.From the angle of topographic analysis,the slope,slope and surface curvature of 3 typical high and steep slopes are counted,and the changes of topographic features in the typical high and steep slopes are analyzed,and the profile characteristics of the sections are analyzed according to the profile curves.Through the study of geometric feature extraction and analysis of high and steep slope in Xiling village,a method of slope area extraction,geometric feature measurement and terrain analysis is preliminarily constructed.The results show that the method has good application effect in geometric feature extraction and topographic analysis.
