Geological Characteristics And Prospecting Potential Of The Pb-Zn Polymetallic Deposit In The Zhuozi County,Inner Mongolia

Located in Zhuozi County,Inner Mongolia,the study area is an important part of the Pb-Zn polymetallic metallogenic prospects in central Inner Mongolia.Located in the East segment of the Inner Mongolia platform upwarp and the northern margin of the North China platform,it belongs to the Daqingshan Pb-Zn-Ag polymetallic metallogenic belt(the middle and western segment of Yanliao nonferrous metallogenic belt).The volcanism-magmatism occurred mainly in Mesozoic,which is a metallogenic area of multi-stage superimposition and compounding,and the geological conditions of ore deposit formation are better.Based on the metallogenic geological background,geochemical and geophysical conditions,spatial and temporal distribution,metallogenic conditions and ore-controlling factors of various deposits in the study area,the regularities between metallogenesis and stratum,magmatic rocks and structures in the study area are discussed.The following conclusions are drawn:Most of the valuable deposits occur at the intersection of N-E,near E-W,S-N or near S-N faults.Summarizing the metallogenic pedigree of metal deposits in the study area: Metallogenic series of copper and zinc deposits related to late Hercynian granite;metallogenic series of lead,zinc,silver and iron deposits related to Indosinian granite;metallogenic series of Pb,Zn,Ag,Cu,Au,W,Mo and iron deposits related to Yanshanian granite.The magmatic superimposition of Hercynian,Indosinian and Yanshanian periods influenced the study area.The Pb-Zn polymetallic deposits were mainly formed in Indosinian and Yanshanian periods.Middle Archaeozoic Jining Group,Archaeozoic Wulashan Group and Archaeozoic Erdaowao Group,followed by Jurassic and Cretaceous strata.Four metallogenic prospecting areas have been delineated in the study area,delineation of 7 main prospecting targets.
