The H oil field K reservoir is a carbonate reservoir and it is an “ultra-heavy” oil field with rich oil and gas resources. Many formations develop light oils. After a certain period of production,a large amount of geology, well logging, and production data were collected. It was found that there are some problems in the understanding of the reservoir and that it is necessary to reassess the reservoir evaluation to update the development plan.In this paper, the original data and newly collected data are comprehensively used to analyze the petrophysical properties of the target stratum, establish the reservoir identification and classification standards.Comprehensively analyzed core data and well logging data, established a reservoir log interpretation model, compared and determined appropriate parameter calculation methods, and complete qualitative and quantitative logging comprehensive evaluation.Through the comparison of three methods, the identification and distribution of light oil was completed using the three-porosity method to obtain the light hydrocarbon index. This method was used to interpret and analyze the production wells in this region, and the practical application effect was good.It provides theoretical support for guiding the deployment of development well locations, helps in the renewal and evaluation of reservoir geological models, and provides geological basis for the design of future development plans.
