Meta analysis is a quantitative statistical analysis method. It is not the statistics of the original data, but a statistical method of re statistics of the existing statistical results. It can analyze the research with different quality, and finally find a relatively general conclusion. Before the 21 st century,meta-analysis has been skillfully used in psychology, pedagogy, science and other fields;after the 21 st century,meta-analysis has been more widely used in various fields of evidence-based medicine research, and gradually provides mature and reliable reference for clinical medicine. This paper studies the application of the statistical method of meta-analysis in the field of medicine, using meta-analysis method to study the treatment of displaced femoral neck fractures in the elderly by internal fixation(IF)and hemiarthroplasty(HA),and then on the basis of the previous study,we study the treatment of displaced femoral neck fractures by cemented hemiarthroplasty(CHA)and uncemented hemiarthroplasty(UHA).We searched online databases,PubMed,Cochrane,EMBASE and Web of science, then deduplicated them, read abstracts and topics, and read the full text.Six RCTs(randomized controlled trials)were compared between IF and HA which met the criteria. The operative time, blood loss,EQ-5D scores in one and two years, mortality in one and two years, reoperation and common complications(deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, postoperative infection and pressure sore)were selected as outcome indicators. The results showed that the IF had better advantages in perioperative period, shorter operative time and less intraoperative bleeding. However, under the condition of not increasing the mortality,HA has better long-term effect, which can effectively avoid secondary surgery, and whether it is short-term or long-term,HA has more advantages in postoperative functional recovery. There were 8 randomized RCTs met the criteria of inclusion and exclusion compared between the CHA and UHA.The outcome indexes included 12-month mortality, operation time, hospitalization time, blood loss,HHS score and postoperative complications. The results showed that uncemented prosthesis could shorten the operation time and reduce the incidence of pulmonary embolism, but could not reduce the mortality, blood loss and hospital stay. Most importantly, patients with uncemented implants are more likely to have prosthesis related complications.Data synthesis and analysis of the above outcome indicators were conducted through Revman 5.3.Through meta-analysis,we can conclude that CHA is the best method to treat displaced femoral neck fracture in the elderly.
