With the rapid growth of the global population and rapid social and economic development, food security has become a widespread and serious problem.Under the influence of turbulent international situation and the unpredictable climate, the food security problem has become more serious, and the reserve resources for farmland have been developed and utilized. It has become an important way to solve food security problems. The development and utilization of cultivated land reserve resources can on the one hand promote the solution of food security problems and on the other hand, contribute to the sustainable development of regional economy. In this context, the study analyzes the amount, type structure and spatial distribution of cultivated land reserve resources in northern Thailand in the “Golden Four Corners” area of China,Myanmar Thailand and Laos.Based on the research of cultivated land reserve resources, the theory of land scarcity,Guided by the theory of sustainable development and the theory of man-land relationship, according to the particularities of the natural conditions and social development levels in northern Thailand, the slopes, aspect, elevations, soil texture and pH,irrigation conditions, and socioeconomic development in natural conditions were selected. The evaluation indexes such as slope, slope direction, elevation, soil texture and pH value, irrigation conditions, traffic convenience in social and economic development, farming convenience and regional population density were determined by AHP.With the help of spatial analysis, buffer zone analysis, overlay analysis and other analysis methods of ArcGIS software, the cultivated land reserve resources in the northern part of Thailand are evaluated, and the evaluation indexes in the study are classified and assigned. Finally, the comprehensive index method is used to calculate the comprehensive score of arable land reserve resources and to divide the arable land grade,so as to build a comprehensive evaluation index system with multi index participation, analyze and obtain the quantity, type structure and spatial distribution pattern of arable land reserve resources in the northern section of Thailand, and divide the arable land grade according to the result of arable land grade Based on the analysis, some reasonable suggestions are put forward for the development and utilization of cultivated land reserve resources in the northern part of Thailand. The study concluded the following:(1)There are 5664.752 square kilometers of cultivated land reserve resources in the north of Thailand in the "Golden Four Corners" area of China,Myanmar Thailand and Laos.In terms of land type, grassland is the main part,Bush is the auxiliary part, and wetland and bare soil area are less. There are significant differences in spatial distribution, mainly distributed along the river plain and river valley areas, and in the gentle slope areas of mountainous and hilly areas, most of which are related to the distribution of cultivated land resources and forest land resources.(2)There are 5624.053 square kilometers of arable land reserve resources suitable for cultivation in the north part of Thailand in the old " Golden Four Corners " area of China,Myanmar Thailand and Laos, which are divided into 102443 patches, mainly including the arable land reserve resources suitable for cultivation in the middle and low degree, and the patches are relatively complete;while the number of highly suitable cultivated land is relatively small, and the patches are relatively broken and scattered.Among them,667.925 square kilometers are highly arable reserve resources, accounting for 11.876% of arable reserve resources, with 28551 patches in total;3781.264 square kilometers are moderately arable reserve resources, accounting for 67.234% of arable reserve resources, with 66132 patches in total;1174.863 square kilometers are low arable reserve resources, accounting for arable reserve resources There were 7790 plaques in 20.890% of the source area.(3)In the “Golden Four Corners” area of China,Myanmar Thailand and Laos, arable land reserve resources in the northern part of Thailand are mainly grassland, supplemented by shrubs, and less wetland and bare soil.In the arable land reserve resources in the northern part of Thailand, the grassland area is 3598.988 square kilometers, which is the largest type of arable land reserve resources, with a total of 51608 patches;the second is bush, with an area of 2012.750 square kilometers, with a total of 46278 patches;the third is bare soil, with an area of 6.817 square kilometers, with 3196 patches;the last is wetland, with an area of 6.817 square kilometers There are 5.498 square kilometers and 1361 patches, with an average patch area of 0.0040 square kilometers.(4)Reserves of arable land that can be cultivated in northern Thailand in the “Golden Four Corners” area of China,Myanmar Thailand and Laos, are scattered, with obvious regional differences and broken patches. In terms of topographical distribution,high-arable arable land reserve resources are mainly distributed in plain areas and river valleys with good development conditions;while low-medium arable land reserve resources are mainly distributed in mountainous and hilly areas.Regarding the distribution of administrative districts,in Chiang Rai Province, the highly arable cultivated land reserve resources are mainly distributed in Mae Sai County,Pan County, and Chiang Rai Autonomous County with high population densities.Cultivated land reserve resources are mainly distributed in Mae Phayao,Mae Sui,and Yuanbabao counties in the west and southwest of Chiang Rai Province, and Tang,Yuangen,Qingsheng,Payamenlai, and Duiyang in the east and central parts County;in Chiang Mai Province, the highly arable cultivated land reserve resources are mainly distributed in Luobadong County,Saraphi County,Shanganheng County,Hansai County, and Hexian County and Dudao County in the southwest of the Chiang Mai Province Autonomous County.Other counties such as Fang County and Palau County also have a small amount of distribution. The reserve resources of arable land with low to moderate arable land are mainly distributed in the western mountainous areas in Maezeng County,Shamen County,He County,Wenggui County, and southern regions.Dao County,Zongtong County,Chaibagan County,Yuangen County,Maedeng County and Palau County in the north.
