In recent years, the problems of land subsidence, land destruction, vegetation degradation, water pollution, climate abnormality and ecological environment deterioration caused by human resource development activities have attracted the attention of governments, scientists and the public. The surface subsidence and deformation of mining area is a kind of manifestation caused by the destruction of the shallow surface caused by the mining of coal resources, and it is the key content in the field of mining, geology and geotechnical engineering. In this paper, the effect of different monitoring methods in the monitoring of surface subsidence and deformation in mining area is compared and analyzed, and the management and data processing software of monitoring data of point source in mining area is developed;based on the monitoring data of UAV,two three-dimensional terrain models are established, and the deformation analysis is carried out by using DEM data. The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the basic principle of photogrammetry, the advantages and disadvantages of the application of UAV photogrammetry technology in the monitoring of surface subsidence deformation are analyzed.(2)In this paper, the camera calibration method based on single plane chessboard is studied, and the calibration accuracy related errors are discussed with MATLAB software calibration toolbox. The results show that the calibration error can be controlled within one pixel.(3)Taking the surface deformation of a mining area in Datong as a monitoring example,Combined with the ground monitoring data, the mining subsidence data processing software is developed;based on the two-stage aerial survey data,a three-dimensional model of the surface subsidence area is constructed, and the difference between the elevation value of two phase UAV data in the traditional monitoring station and the first ground monitoring data is extracted,Then, the settlement deformation of the subsidence area is analyzed with UAV data, and some useful conclusions are obtained.
