Research on the electromagnetic characteristics of complex targets on rough ground has always been a complex but having practical application value research topic in the electromagnetic field, and it has very important applications in radar detection, remote sensing, and target recognition and so on.In the actual situation, the targets are not isolated, like the tanks on the land and the ships on the sea.It must consider the influence of the ground or sea environment on the target's electromagnetic scattering. However,in the study of classical scattering problems, the research on scattering of rough surface and complex targets is often carried out separately. At present, the simulation and imaging methods of high-frequency RCS of random rough surfaces for simulating terrestrial and marine environments are very mature. At the same time, algorithms for calculating the scattering of individual complex targets are also developing rapidly. However, algorithms that consider the scattering of rough surfaces and complex targets at the same time are relatively rare, which greatly limits the practical application value of theoretical research. In order to study the complex scattering problem of rough surfaces and complex targets,Firstly,high-precision 3D geometric modeling of complex targets is carried out,and the model of ground is numerically simulated in this article. Then it perform highfrequency prediction calculations based on the hybrid geometric optics-physical optics method on composite targets.Based on the calculation results, the RCS characteristics and SAR imaging characteristics of the composite target are analyzed and researched. At the same time, the geometric model after the component decomposition of the complex target on the ground is started, and the spatial ray diversity technology is used to realize the various scattering sources in the composite target.Decomposition, and with the form of the attribute scattering center model, each parameter in the scattering center model is calculated in the forward direction. Finally,a parametric scattering center model for a complex target on a rough surface is established to provide composite scattering for rough surfaces and complex targets.A new auxiliary approach is of great significance to radar automatic target recognition(ATR).The content of this article mainly includes:1.The numerical simulation model of the actual rough ground is studied. The mathematical model applicable to the actual rough ground and the algorithm for generating the rough surface are given. The dielectric characteristics are studied. The four-component model suitable for the actual soil surface is selected. To calculate the relative complex permittivity of the ground. The high-frequency estimation algorithm for complex targets on rough ground is studied.Based on the hybrid GO-PO algorithm, the radar scattering cross-sectional area(RCS)characteristics and SAR image characteristics of two common types of tanks and transport vehicles on rough ground are analyzed, and compared with the measured data, the high frequency is verified.Applicability and Effectiveness of Estimation Method for Coupling Scattering of Rough Surface and Complex Target.3.A parametric model for scattering centers of complex targets on rough ground is studied and constructed.Based on the spatial ray diversity technology, the scattering centers of the composite target after component decomposition are extracted, sorted and filtered, and then based on the form of the attribute scattering center model, the parameters in the model are established positively, and finally the rough is established. The parametric model of the scattering center of the tank on the surface is compared and analyzed with the reconstructed SAR image and the high-frequency estimated SAR image and the measured SAR image, verifying the effectiveness of the method for such targets.
