Situation Ana Lysis And Future Development Of Key Protective Equipment In High-level Biosafety Laboratory In China

BackgroundCurrently,biosafety has become a key topic of international concern,and biosafety laboratories have been playing an important role in dealing with bio-terrorism,public health emergencies and emerging infectious diseases.Biosafety protective equipment is the basic guarantee and hardware foundation of biosafety laboratory.Due to the late development of biosafety laboratory in China,we need to know the current state of development of biosafety laboratory and the use of biosafety equipment and grasp the localization degree and application of biosafety protective equipment in China's high-level biosafety laboratories,so as to realize the independent R&D of biosafety protective equipment in China's laboratories.PurposeTo understand the distribution of biosafety laboratories in China.To understand the present situation of the application of biosafety protective equipment,including brand,type,price,service satisfaction,and the existing problems in the annual inspection and maintenance.To analyze the bottleneck and shortage that restrict the development of protective product and technology of China's high-level biosafety laboratories.To provide data support for the localization of high-level biosafety laboratory protective equipment in China.To provide evidence basis and policy suggestions for the construction of biosafety laboratory.To provide decision advice for the establishment of China's biosafety laboratory protective equipment manufacturing product and industry standards.MethodsThe questionnarie was designed by collecting and searching the information about the protective equipment of high-level biosafety laboratory.We made questionnaires through Epidemiology Dynamic Data Collection Platform of China CDC.The information was filled,investigated and recovered in online and rechecked by telephone.We conducted field visits and face-to-face interviews with the manufacturers of mainstream brands involved in the survey.Descriptive research method was adopted to analyze the application status and existing problems of high-level biosafety laboratory protective equipment in China.Suggestions were put forward for the development of biosafety laboratory protective equipment in China.ResultsThe deadline for this survey is July 2018,and results are subject to the survey closing date.A total of 23 kinds of protective equipment were collected from 66 high-level biosafety laboratories in China.The investigation shows that most of the biosafety protective equipment are imported products.The reasons for the low market share of domestic products are the limited number and limited demand of high-level biosafety laboratories in China,the imperfect product standards of biosafety protective equipment.Our product craft and quality are inferior to import product,and the lack of user trust in domestic brands.ConclusionThe results of this study basically reflect the development status of high-level biosafety laboratories in China and the situation of localization of biosafety protective equipment.The investigation results show that it still takes time to realize the self-protection of biosafety protective equipment.The government should strengthen R&D support for domestic enterprises and policy support for the application of domestic equipment;Enterprises should improve innovation ability,break-through technology and process bottleneck,improve product quality;Enterprises and users should strengthen communication,build a communication platform to enhance mutual understanding;The government should improve the product standard and system of biosafety protective equipment;The government should strengthen the training and construction of the talent team,improve the talent capabilities,increase international cooperation and exchanges,and enhance the international influence of China's biosafety.
