The Arctic circle refers to the area north of 66 ° 33 ? n,including the Arctic Ocean and its surrounding islands and part of Eurasia. Its total area is about 21 million km2,of which the land area accounts for about 38%.The circum Arctic countries include Canada,Denmark(Greenland),Finland,Iceland,Norway,Sweden,Russia and the United States. One belt, one road, one belt, one road,is to provide a reliable basis for mineral company's "going out".It will help to strengthen strategic cooperation between our country and the Arctic and neighboring countries, and provide a feasible reference for the implementation of the related projects of "one belt and one road".In this paper, the strategic emerging minerals in the Arctic Circle and its adjacent areas are taken as the main research object.Through the translation, collection and collation of previous data and data, the 1:5 million geological and mineral map of the Arctic Circle and its adjacent areas and the corresponding instructions are compiled, and the data in the materials are verified and updated.By integrating the collected mineral data, the database of Arctic strategic emerging minerals covering time and space elements is established. The main research results are as follows:(1)The strategic emerging minerals in the Arctic Circle and its adjacent areas are as follows: 4 tin deposits;7 chromium deposits;71 gold deposits;28 nickel deposits;2 tungsten deposits;2 lithium deposits;11 molybdenum deposits;8 antimony deposits;2 zirconium deposits;9 cobalt deposits;3 rare earth deposits;and 6 uranium deposits.(2)There are different kinds of minerals in the Arctic Circle and its neighboring countries. The metal minerals, distribution and reserves of each country are calculated.(3)The Arctic Circle and its adjacent areas are divided into two first-order metallogenic sections, namely,North America metallogenic section in the West and Eurasia metallogenic section in the middle and East. The first grade metallogenic zone is further divided into 10 secondary metallogenic zones(belts),and the mineral types, distribution quantity and reserves of each metallogenic zone are counted. The geological characteristics, genesis and production status of typical deposits in each metallogenic area are summarized;the temporal and spatial metallogenic and distribution rules of strategic emerging minerals in the Arctic Circle and adjacent areas are summarized by analyzing and sorting out materials.Through statistics, this paper summarizes the strategic emerging advantageous minerals in the Arctic Circle and its adjacent areas relative to China, and sorts out the mineral exploration policies and development policies of various countries. Before mineral development activities in the Arctic Circle and adjacent areas,Chinese enterprises can make corresponding preparations and prevention work in advance according to the policies of various countries,so as to provide powerful reference for Chinese enterprises to "go out" to the Arctic.
